Shaman Tank Raid Guide - Serious Look at Shaman Tanking

that cant be right, shamans dont have any threat talents in 3.x
i mean, if you have enough hunters/rogues, anything can tank but yea

In Cataclysm, although Shamans don't have any flat out threat talents, they have notable threat spells like Frost Shock, Rockbiter Weapon among others.

have Rockbiter Weapon

have you ever pve'd with actually competent raiders
judging from your posts my guess is [x] no
you can build the most threat focused prot paladin or just be a dk and it spam and you'll still not keep threat against top furies and ttws (without md/tott), that's just how 3.x works :Okayge:

Shaman tanks were in wotlk, thats true.
The last I heard of them tanking was Trial of the Crusader, and it was viable.
ICC would have been hard but I can't doubt that seeing as they were able to tank most fights up till then. The raid comp an strategy changes needed made most people go for real tanks so it was taboo

Quick Google search brings up multiple vids from '09

You're correct. Even back in the early days Shaman tanking was in a great spot, today they're in a fantastic spot because of all the research/data we've accumulated since then.

I don't have Wotlk Shaman Tank guide out yet, but have a TBC guide: https://xpoff.com/threads/shaman-tank-tbc-guide.96518/
