Shadowlands TW scaling

  • Heard some rumors about the scaling being broken in SL time walking. Ran 5 dungeons and can safely say its not messed up . As a 64 fury warrior I can comfortably tank groups + bosses no problem .

The HP is a little higher but you really can't tell a difference between TW and a normal 5 man.

My lvl 60 with TW raid gear (in sig) completely curbstomps. It's kinda like a lvl 10 twink but with more ability variety and more reuired attention to CDs/taskbar. But I suspect it won't make it to next Xpac. Stat and/or ilvl squish inc. I'll have to reroll. Just a few months of enjoyment left. 70 will be the new 60, I suspect...

Healing as 10 priest is quite challenging. As expected, thou will get all aggro, and fade on cd.

Not sure how much beta numbers will match, but 60s are 100% cooked in new update. I don't imagine many brackets having any power surviving. I know people are interested in 5 man content or grouping being required - but I played 10s/60s for their power levels which are being stripped.

Blizz fixed most TW level scaling but screwed up healer threat scaling.

I noticed on my lvl 20 healers, healing a lvl 10 tank is a breeze because he holds all aggro in spite of being a bit squishy.

lvl 80 tanks are much more durable, but as soon as you drop a tiny heal, you generate 9999% threat and peel all mobs off the tank.

I notice dispels and shields don't generate threat, as well as HoTs ticks you start on the tank before he enters combat do not generate threat.

As someone mentioned before, this broken healing threat makes the playstyle much more interesting.
If the group behaves then everything still goes relatively smoothly, only topping heals between or near end of pulls. But occasionally there'll be an overenthusiastic dps that charges forward needing lots of heals lol, and then the whole pull goes haywire.

I'm no longer trying to max dps on both my 20 resto druid & prevoker as in previous TWs.

Resto druid has lousy cc options when mobs are barrelling towards you, but on flip side rolling hots and multiple instant heals means survivability is quite high & I'm basically the unintended new spec of being the tank-by-heals. Using Leaf of Ancient Protectors has saved me many times too, with its high damage absorb & short CD.

Prevoker has slightly less heal throughput survivability, but the good thing is wing buffet & landslide are great cc tools which I hardly ever had to use before.

Kinda enjoying this new challenge actually.

The new meta will just move to lvl 70-79 (as opposed to 60). 80 if you have an account without Midnight to avoid leveling.

did the log out after a run in PF so i could do what we did in past and get a TW version of a item, the ooze trink at ilvl 56 for a 10.

mobs showed at or slightly above my level, could not get past first boss, the giant mob at entrance got me a few times either from one shot or blight on the ground
