He posted that reply while I was writing mine, and it is for comic appeal.

I knew the guy who got it off the turtle, and he had the sword in his bag.

Wrong. It was me that posted that photoshopped screen shot of my main looting a Shadowfang from a turtle in Blackfathom Deeps. It was to prove a point (which I stated later in the thread) that it was pretty simple too Photoshop for someone who has very little experience with it because the orginal debate was someone showing that Shadowfang had dropped in Wailing Caverns while they were taking RAF accounts through, but it was caught that the party leader had a "Master Looter" icon AND there was dice roll results when you choose "need" on an item in the text box. Which of course wouldn't be there if you had a ML.

discussion over.. thread died. please close. thanks.

I can understand your exasperation, but I hope you learned a lesson. People don't trust GMs because many times they are misinformed. We have been burned time and again because we took what a GM said as gospel. Mazurati also proved a point, even SS's are not to be trusted. The only advice that I can give anyone who insists on farming SF for themself is to loot everything, regardless of what anyone (including a GM) says.

learned what lesson? how instead of having civil "Debate" some members on TI go straight in to flaming wars because " THEY KNOW ALL AND ARE BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE".

All i did was get some (At the time) useful infomation so i passed it on to TI to help, infact all that happened was another FLAMING THREAD.

This is getting boring now, can a mod close this thing down.

That's Twink Info for ya.

Except that information wasn't useful in anyway because GMs often contradict eachother. Case in point would be the SS that was posted a few months ago of a GM confirming that SF only dropped off of the lvl 21 elites. All you did was stir the pot with more false hopes. GMs and SS's really can't be trusted and should not be presented to the community (or taken) as fact.

Okay, let's end the discussion, right now.

Maybe it does drop from other mobs, who knows.

GMs are often wrong, and misinformed many of us countless amount of time.

GMs are sometime misinformed and so, they tell you useless stuff.

Does SF drop out of SFK, nope.

SS can be faked easily. Don't even need photoshop to fake a SS.

WoW fan-base database can't be trusted either.

Since SF might drop off other mob, should you farm it in SFK, obviously, the answer is still no.

SF sells for 20k, if you have a main and a few hours in front of you, I can't believe you couldn't get that.

The appropriate response would have been to just inform you that Blizzard mods are known to give bad information. Especially when it comes to Shadowfang drops.

It has been a topic of discussion for many years. In fact, the first clue that the mod didn't know what you were talking about was when he said, "which sword." After you already told him.

My friend has like 8-10 SF's left on his inactive account that we have accumulated. I'll have to find out if he will ever come back and if not then if I can have the account.

Juno is just trying to be helpful here, no need to flame him because GMs sometimes are wrong.

so your saying i shouldnt post any info from a GM because members of TI cant control themselves from starting flame threads?

I'm saying that posting inaccurate information, or information that is not independantly verifiable from an untrustworthy source does nothing except incite the community. Take care when posting information relating to issues that are dear to the communities heart (like drop info on SF), I'd hate to send a bunch of poor saps on some wild goose chase in SFK because I gave them false hope.

@Bankbeauty

1. Is that really you in ur profile pic?

2. Why are you selling out dated twink items for outrageous amounts?

3. Thank you for buying my useless vendetta's, I have more useless twink items on Medivh if you are interested :)

4. The only one I knew that had that kind of inventory before BoA's was Morroz who also was on Medivh. Is that you?? Cmon now! Only Morroz sold Twink items for that much $ your asking for in those quantities.

the difference between gm's being wrong on patch information, class changes, bug fixes and other ordeals is, that this isn't a part of being a GM. as i am informed, with a GM comes a handy little database, that lets you search trough all mobs and check what loot they drop. this is because, when a GM gets a ticket saying something like, "somebody else ninjaed my loot,", "this mob dropped X item, but it was bugging", or something along those lines, the first thing GM's do is, to go check if that item even drop in that dungeon/place. this too means, that for that GM to be lying, he must have blatantly looked at his database thought "meh, fuck it lets lie to people", and just sort of made something up? that sounds very silly.

i could be wrong, this database could be made up, but i was confirmed of its existence trough various sources, so i'm gonna roll with "source legit".

Yes, in a ideal world. Why do you think they always say: I can't tell you more, I can't tell you more?

Over the past weeks I had problem with few quests on my main and both GM gave me 2 totally different answer about it. And by that logic, they could just at looked at the database to see where I should turn these damn quests in.

I take it you've never worked in customer service. I feed people bullshit answers just to shut them up all the time. Were I in the GM's position I wouldn't have bothered looking at any loot tables whether or not they were readily accessable. Since we don't have access to these loot tables we can't verify which GMs are actually doing their due diligence and which ones are just trying to shut us up.
