Servers ?

Everyone plan on merging on the same server, or being all spread out? Cross realm isn’t a thing anymore is it?

1.12 was the first patch with battlegroups. Blizzard has only announced enough servers for half of a battlegroup from tbc and wrath so it will essentially be cross realm. A lot of people have been complaining about this because "it made everyone a stranger" but honestly I think they're forgetting how often you ran into the same people in a battlegroup. Using a half of one is going to be full of familiar faces.

Cross BG realms has been confirmed already. Ideally though it be nice to have 2 19 Guilds on both factions rolling at least on the Same realm.

All the big bois of pvp are going US central PVP (the biggest). it is the most optimal solution to the problem of split servers. WSG wont be a big deal since you will have cross-server BGs

I hope they have cross-realm BGs. Because I'm based in EU, I need to find the lowest pop NA server (for latency reasons) that is within the same 'battlegroup' as most other twinks. Still waiting for any server info so I can test this

All the big bois of pvp are going US eastern PVP. The exact same as it hasalways been. AKA bleeding hollow and EU pplayers ping. central is a joke.

dunno who initially started the cst server movement but what a dumb idea lmao

legit the most optimal choice would be an est server if this were to actually happen as it allows for the least amount of latency for both na natives and eu refugees to play together on one region therefore increasing the overall player pool and not completely gimping one side in the process, which has literally been the case on live as seen with bleeding hollow for the last five expansions

Sorry to deprive you of your "lmaos", but the timezone of a Realm has nothing to do with it's physical location... in fact, there's no such thing as an East Coast WoW Server at all (the only ones that ever did exist got moved to the Chicago Datacenter around five years ago).

ok man wow sick you got me but what i was responding to was the same misinformation that all na twinks should be playing on a cst server so both east and west coast nigs could have around the same ping

If by "cst server" they were referring to one of the servers hosted at Blizzard's Chicago Datacenter, then they're correct... you have no such excuse:

with that being said i would like to formally apologize for my mistake (please forgive me) i was not aware ny data center servers no longer existed as nobody in their right mind should have been playing modern wow in the last four or so years to know that kinda info anyways

What’s pretty obvious is that all EST servers will be in the closest center to that time zone while CST servers may or may not, so Skeez was right per usual.

Remember you can only play one faction on a pvp server in this time period. On a pve server you can roll with two accounts, have multiple escort mains, and flip flop factions as needed. It would be harsh times if one faction was overloaded because of everyone's resources being on one faction.
