There were reports of it dropping recently after the new scaling. Might be a similar case to mine, in which Morlune's Bracers dropped, yet wowhead has listed them as not avaliable for the longest time.

Regardless, it's still "ultra rare" and people would be willing to pay for it.

Hello roboartist, only stratholme, schlomance, uldaman ,etc dungeon items drop again, Morlune's Bracers its a old stratholme drop, so its drops again, unfortunately chromatic and others rare items from world pre cata bosses they do no drop again, u can check underminejournal and see how all chromatic sword are pre-cata

This is dropping and being superfarmed atm, so some people even sell it for 500k: However some people claim the old Swords have a much bigger glow the the ones dropping again

Looking at the wowhead comments the dimmer light was a thing before it started dropping again.
