Which do you use and why. Looking to do some recording and wanted to see what everyone else uses.

Fraps, because it's direct stream with no compression.

Why? Because fraps + xfire recording was pretty much the only recording softwear that I knew of when I bought it.

Fraps cause it looks nicars.

The problem I have with fraps is it outputting multiple video files. I tested 5 minutes of video and it output it to 3 different small mpegs. I wanted one large file.

When you use Fraps it will make small clips. The recording you are doing won't stay as one file in Fraps. I'm not sure if you can change this. But my experience with fraps have been good. Working like a charm. So I would recommend it.

playclaw seems to record the same, use less system resources, and also stays as one file.
