Farm the runestone and other variations of chests in Ashenvale and maybe Wetlands/Darkshore, Ive got lvl 15 iL 23 items from them before. Also got the same item two other times of the normal variation.
Not totally sure magefist can come from the chests, but I believe darkweave can.

Interesting! Yes, darkweave definately can come from the chests. Magefist AFAIK cannot. So we need to find another way of farming Magefist in that case. i will try this out every now and then and try and get a screenshot if i happen to come across any scaled versions.

I can confirm as of today i got a Deanship Claymore req level 26 and ilevel 29. yeh its downwards scaling and its shit. but atleast some scaling seem to be happening from those chests. looted this at a 110 char.

Have it be known, I literally only received 1 scaled item from around 20 chest openings, and it was done on a level 19. For easier searching for the chests id suggest making a trial rogue (outlaw) for treasure tracking and then running out to the chests on your twink.
