farm the bosses....
it sucks tho...unlike most SP based items that received 1-2 buffs during 1.2-1.4(or even some others during later patches) the runed ring never recieved a buff since its inception and only gives +7 SP like it did since 1.1 making it a useless novelty item
even a junk common item like band of the unicorn outclasses it

All of it's variants are dropped by Antu'sul and Shadowpriest Sezz'ziz, albeit extremely rarely.
Variants are of Stamina, of the Eagle, of the Whale, of Intellect, of the Owl, of Spirit, and of Concentration.
*I've only ever seen 1 on my high pop server and was listed at 400g, so possibly potentially comparable to Shadowfang since it can only drop from a boss.
Atlas loot has it at 0.05% from each boss.

Somebody posted one the other day in discord. Eagle i think. Only one ive heard of in classic and ive been checking AH for a yr.
