Rogues, describe your 3.2 WSG experiences.

just an fyi, nothing has changed except hunters get cheetah. so if ur ACTUALLY catching a hunter, ur playing a god awful one. Thrown isn't gonna help ya vs them. The good ones don't need cheetah. They knew how to play the class before it =)

Hunters get cheeta, yes... Throw = Dazes hunters that have cheeta... Which makes them easy to catch ;)

Rogues might become a more rarely played twink class, see this as survival of the fittest. ;)

I was on my 19 rogue and didn't see any real problems to be honest...

Maybe its my play style but I am a very heavy cherry picker (I stay close/inside to the enemy base to cut off reinforcements/find EFC etc) and find it only slightly more challenging to pick off singles/stragglers.

On my rogue I didnt have very many problems. I think Improved Gouge is a must now though. You just gotta be very wise when you use it though. Another thing is trying to keep your team in a group. Funny thing about that is the more hunters you have, the more your team groups. Lol.

I see this patch the same as 3.1. If you suck and lived on high hp, your're your going to quit. If your rogue wasnt any good to begin with, your going to quit. I cant tell you how many twinks left they're XP on. I played on my 19 Paladin, which I plan to level through the BG system, and there was about 4 twink rogues in every BG with XP on I went into.

Atleast when you see rogues in BGs now, you know they will more or less be skilled ones.

I think this should be the rogues Niche, Full AP cherry pickers.

Druids will be primarily kiting outside since they want to use their travel form, this can be a disadvantage becuase they won't be in a good position to cap the flag. With a couple of leet rogues waiting in the base for huge ambush attack on a double debuff FC. or to sprint the flag out incase other side gets a return.

Procc chance for icy is low, at least that's my experience. It sure is something to consider now though with all the speeding classes.

Have anyone tested the procc chance on this shit? Thirk:)?

nightynight for now guys.

remember 20 minute wsg matches.. i dunno how long it takes to get to double debuff. But in my wsg's yesterday only saw a single debuff with a 1-1 tie.

ambush is good.... if it crits.

There is a Rogue named Rural (Ruin BG) that is the real deal when it comes to returning flags think he is from Bloodlust Represent, not sure if he posts on these forums or not.

.

Sounds dumb but IMO the better WSG rogues will be rolling in AP gear or possibly sporting icy.

Not sure but i think they still put out more burst damage than any class even hunter if your actually within range. Icy might be worthwhile with sharpening stones to slow the efc. ICY PPM?

Rogues can still stick it to the midfield if they pop in at the right time in a fight. On my sp druid i might be busy with a hunter (Wrath + glyph of healing touch can beat hunters) or kiting another melee class when a rogue would pop in and burst me down before shapeshift out. AP Cherry picking ftw.

One of my good friends is working on this on his rogue at the moment:

chardev.org v6 ~ a World of Warcraft character planner

he's in the process of aquiring/farming the AP greens right now :)

and just looking at that AP I am thinking he will be a crazy good cherry picker. The 7 hit+2points in Precision is crucial in my opinion though now, 1 hit is all it takes to determine the winner of a fight, and now with all the new kiting abilities the 5% extra to hit is so useful if your gonna focus on bursting.

I only had time to play in one last night, but I felt pretty much useless.

Once my sprint/trinket were gone, I was getting rooted, snared and outran. I really don't understand why it'd be such a bad idea to get poisons at 19. At least crippling please?

I have a feelings the amount of rogues you see in a pug group are going to diminish.

Anyone thinking of trying out icy?

my first impression: terrible

after a few games i learned how to cope with it, simple, start an alliance with all the horde and not have them kill you. but in all seriousness, rogues are pretty gimped in pugs, the 20 min games are fun, 2v2s are fun (shout out to virtual and epic cross-q games) and im sure premades will be too.

as for crippling, its not logical to blizz because it wouldnt be helping leveling really, and thats the point of travel/aspect changes. as for icy, i've tried it, i dont think its worth losing the burst of fiery and is overall too unreliable for my liking. i really like my glyph of sprint in pugs right now, its really the only way to outrun druids in a race to get to the flag.

the fact that you played in only 1 game, i know exactly how you felt, i did too. just give it time and if it makes it any better just be happy you're not a ret pally atm, now you're even worse at 19 than before.. too bad rogues/pallies are my 2 19 twinks...

I just decided to make the best of it and leave wow behind. Uninstalled last night and canceled my sub. I'll just use this as a chance to pursue my more productive hobbies. = )
