Honestly I was sick of outlaw, its been the only spec you can play since sin and sub were just straight-up awful for the past 4ish years
 
I'm glad that sub and assassination seem good as a vet now, that's definitely the unpruning and actually having good abilities finally at a lower level. I'd go haste/vers or haste crit as assassination and mastery vers, or crit mastery as sub. You guys just made me realize how much mastery you can get at such a low level. Sub is pretty rough on damage with low mastery, especially without dance. I might give it a whirl!
 
Get the ilvl 50 belt from finishing Azsuna's main questline, it's better than the one you're currently wearing (https://www.wowhead.com/quest=42213/eye-of-azshara-the-tidestone-of-golganneth).

You'd get 11 Agility, 16 Stamina, 15 Crit and 6 Mastery instead of 9 Agility, 7 Stamina and 8 Crit.

Legs (https://www.wowhead.com/quest=43349/the-aegis-of-aggramar) are better too, more agility, more critical strike and more stamina. The other two items not so much because they have haste.

Also, this gem https://www.wowhead.com/item=28361/delicate-blood-garnet for one of your sockets, bracers from this quest https://www.wowhead.com/quest=29641/the-soul-devices, and personally I'd use a trinket that gives +6 agility + secondary stat instead of that second trinket.

Sub doesnt get much damage baseline, what im running is dagger in the dark, weaponmaster, focusing mainly on crit then mastery, if all is said and done, crit shadowstrike for 800, with a 200-400 extra shadowstrike, frag does 200, both dragon trinkets proc which do a combined damage of around 800-1k after 10ish seconds, and evis critting for 500 if im lucky, does pretty solid and is much more fun to play than sin

I wouldnt consider getting the legion gear a "non finished" twink because with how normal levelers are getting their hands on the ilvl 50 gear after the zones, itll get patched by the end of the month, thats my guess, Im geared using items that had a low probability of getting fixed other than the azerite gear, so when your lvl 50 belt is now useless my belt will be ahead, you know what I mean?

Will hop and get that bracer asap, that does look really good as well as that gem, the trinkets are optional imo but my two dragons do roughly 600-800 damage

Sure I'm not saying it's unfinished, was just trying to help. I'm gearing up with both sockets and the Legion ilvl 50s, they'll probably get patched but better enjoy it while we can.

Forget the gem though, I did the quest for Marks of Honor Hold ages ago and thought it would work since the requirement is level 10, but that quest is unavailable for my level 20 toon (unless there's some hidden requirements).

ah ok, welp I plan on doing legion questing tomorrow anyway but wanna gear up my druid and rogue to a optimal point first ya know

Logged out w/ rocket boots oops.. but yea mostly finished 29, just have 2 rings, cloak, and boots I'm trying to proc sockets on from legion/bfa dungeons (all vers/haste, which outlaw badly needs imo bc it feels very slow right now compared to when I was 70). Already got my bracers to proc a socket took maybe 5-10 runs :eek: I've looked thru all of the wod/legion/bfa quest/dungeon/rare drops, insane how many options we have at the moment. Loving this version of twinking where we can go after the stats we want instead of there just being 1-2 items per slot with broken stat weights like before :)
 
At 20 tho, you don't really get to pick your secondary stats, as the overpowered item's main stat is so high it does not matter what the secondaries do. After that if you are dps you just stack mastery. There really is almost ZERO customization when you really look at it. I would not fool yourself.

If they actually do fix all of the items that are above i25, versatility could very well become the best stat again, just like in BFA, as you can stack it to 35%+ pretty easily with all of the dungeon gear.

If they don't fix them and you did not get those end quest legion items, your damage will be so gimped you won't play after a week of looking at the damage charts... just saying.

Honestly if you are just a doomsayer of I wouldn't appreciate putting your opinion here, yeah this is a theory crafting thread, not a place where you can hop in and just say shit like that because honestly I've had more fun fucking around with secondary stats and they do work if you put time and effort into them, and If you read what I had to say literally 3 posts above you would've noticed I said I'm going to do them today when I get the chance.
