You just need the login details. If it's an old style account with a name, not WOW1, then you need to convert it to Battle.net. Other than that, you just log in as you usually would.

What if I don't know the information? Could I possibly round off some emails to a GM and see if they find something? Cause I have a paly w/ verigan's fist, it's just that I have no clue what the info is for it.

You can try, but you'd need some kind of information. Do you still have access to the email? If it makes you feel any better, ret is terrible, and VG is not BiS, but still one of the rarest mogs.
