rogue enchant/talent question

alright, so I finally found someone with inc stealth to cloak. my question.

keep inc stealth, drop the 2 points I have in MoD and put them into imp ss?

also found an enchanter with 10sr (shit is rare on my server it seems) - put 10sr on cloak, keep 2 points in MoD?

idk, just looking for some opinions .. HALP!

Get multiple Spidersilk Drapes, one with +3 agility, one with 10SR, increased stealth I don't use myself but it could be useful in RvR.

2 points in MoD is pointless, either get 1 or 3, but not 2.

I'd say for RvR put all 10 points in the little square in Subtelty, otherwise spec in Improved Sinister Strike, Improved Eviscerate and Malice.

Good luck with it, hope it helps.

not unless you're mutilate, which you obviously cant be at 19

Even so, 1% more crit (which is LESS than 1% more damage) on main hand

and 1% more crit (which is LESS than 1% more damage) on offhand

and 1% more crit (which is LESS than 1% more damage) on sinister strike

against...

10% more on offhand

I'm just curious if it's really worse

I went full sub and its working great, if your mostly for WSG I would suggest you get your sentry/glowing lizard scale cloak and put +3 agility on it, but you could always grab another cloak and put the other enchant on it if you want.

I'm going to be lazy here and just provide a quote from Rayu that he posted awhile back:

Here's the maths, I'm not giving my opinion;

Say you use identical weapons for your MH and OH.

Your MH weapon gives you 100% of it's damage.

Your OH weapon gives you 50% of it's damage.

Dual Wield Specialization adds multiplicatively, NOT additively.

50% * 1.5 = 75% (if spec'd 5/5)

Total damage done increase in the most ideal set-up in which your OH swings as many times as your MH (which it barely ever does) this increases your total WHITE damage by:

(175% -150%) / 150% * 100% = 16.67%

This does NOT affect Sinister Strike and other rogue abilities, just white hits. On top of that, to get this 16.67% increase you need to spend 5 talent points, making it:

16.67% / 5 = 3.33% increased white damage per talent point spent.

So if you feel that a 3.33% increase to your WHITE damage is more valuable than 1% Crit chance, then spec for Dual Wield. My guess is that the Dual Wield spec maybe more beneficial in a "Patchwerk" like PvE DPS situation, but some of that sustained DPS is going to be lost to the nature of PvP. Crit is more burst, and thus, I prefer it for PvP.

Edit: As for the Cloak, I was too lazy on my rogue (not my main twink) to ever get a [item]Spidersilk Drape[/item]. My laziness has paid off as I will now be getting hit capped by the combination of BoA shoulders, BoA chest, and [item]Deviate Scale Belt[/item]. I still think the [item]Sentry Cloak[/item] is the way to go. I have 3 of them, actually. One enchanted with +10 Shadow Resist, one with Stealth, and one with 12 Dodge. The 12 Dodge is a leftover from a time when Dodge was actually good, but it no longer leaves my bank. +10 SR is used if I see a lot of priests and locks on the other team. +Stealth is my standard. I also have a [item]Glowing Lizardscale Cloak[/item] with +3 agi.

yeah the talent doesnt bring your offhand up to having no penalty at all, it's 10% of what it's originally at with the penalty (50%), so each point is 5% more offhand dmg. it's explained above too
