Rogue and Hunter Boa Priority

my mate needs some help with Rogue and Hunter Boa Priority both allies and BiS non BoA

what BOA weapon would you suggest for a rogue?

I guess the chest is best for them both to get first?

Rogue - Stained Shadowcraft tunic, Exceptional stormshroud spualders, MH wicked dagger (stocks) OH Sharpened scarlet kris.

Hunter - Champion herods shoulders, champion deathdealers breastplate and if you have enough Venerable Dathramirs second charge MH sword thing

Why Scarlet Kris? It's less damage and minus crit rating. Compared to two x Wicked Dagger. I'm not arguing that it's not better, I honestly don't know, I was going to upgrade to inherited insignia now (for the resi), I have the shoulders and chest. Would I be better off getting the Scarlet Kris instead and why?

Edit: forgot to mention I'm a rogue.

It's because two people namely Lofi and Medanx are the only "geared" rogue and hunter so everyone just copies what they do. Not necessarily if it's BiS or suits your playstyle.

For a Rogue the BoA chest is a direct upgrade stamina wise at the loss of 1 agility + hit rating. Really no reason not to get it. The shoulders depend on what you want, hit rating or resilience. Theoretically hit rating is better but it's useless in a BG (above 5%) when more than half your damage is going to come from abilities. The only reason to get scarlet kris is if you want more resilience or plan on using instant poison. Instant poison is nice but hardly ever procs even on fast daggers and only does ~30 damage. You're much better off using double crippling. The resilience PvP trinket is a good choice if you don't have 2 AGM's or aren't human and if you wanted another dps loss you could get the BoA gun for more resilience.

It's the same for hunter except there is really no reason to get resilience on a hunter and all the BoA's are a minor dps increase. Rend's sword being almost negligible on a hunter.

Im not copying medan personally I believe it's best because the more times your OH swings the more chances you have to hit.

But I do agree on hunter boas they are almost negligible however saying that didnt answer his question ^.^

If you're using instant on a fast weapon then you're doing it wrong.

Instant is a PPM, which means it's more likely to proc on a slower swing timer. Crippling is percentage based, meaning the faster the weapon the more procs you'll see.

Glad I could help.

other than the quote above, i have came to no conclusion on why/how people think scarlet kris BoA dagger is better for OH... yes it is SLIGHTLY faster, but 1. daggers alone are extremely fast 2. crip poison on dual wicked daggers (what i use) has never failed in procing the crip on my target 3. dual wicked dagger has higher dmg and helps stack crit (far better than +1 stam/3 resil, which i dont need because i already have 10 resil from BoA shoulders and BoA insignia) ...but i would like to see discussion about this, because although i am content with dual WD, i would love to hear opinions and/or facts on the "best" MH/OH rogue weaps - Murk ^.^

It only comes with the downside of that B, an eszett, being a german double s, and the fact that we have quite a few german people results in "Ssacksurgeon". Otherwise, however, the name is pro, working on magician's mantle right now for all the hatersssss.

he means that if you get the kris, you can use instant on MH because your OH (kris) is (might be?) fast enough to run crip by itself, not the other way around
