Rift now completely free to play, no restrictions or anything

Whats the pvp like? Smooth? Can you attack/use skills and run at the same time? (As cheesy as that sounds most f2p mmo's are like that)

well if you have instant-cast skills then sure

i haven't encountered any "cast while moving" skills like the new 5.4 lightning bolt or old Scorch in WoW, but i think there would be some

you can always roll mage or cleric and spec into warlock/"shadow priest" and just DoT people up, pretty strong spec

Rift is pretty much a WoW clone (but a very polished and superior one) so if you can do it in WoW chances are you can do it in Rift too

Probably wont run on my CPU.. WoW is like the only game i can play because Blizz is full of intelligent people who understand that not everyone have a 3000$ CPU!!! I mean really?? Is it THAT hard to make a low graphic option for a game?? I think the game devs are getting more and more retarded over time

I have a $500 laptop and the game runs fine.

Rift does have a low quality graphic render option, i have to use it on my 5 year old pc

its not as cpu/gpu friendly as WoW but still playable at lowest settings

i'd say the requirements are more or less similar to GW2

I've updated the first post with some official info regarding the different account types (F2P, subbed, etc) which lists all the restrictions for F2P players (there aren't much actually)

Basically to sum it up, F2Ps are only really affected by the following restrictions
- 2500 platinum gold cap ("2500 gold" in WoW terms), which most probably won't hit
- can't list items on AH but can bid/buyout
- 2 character slots
- 3 bag slots

Shouldn't you be able (theoretically) to get loyalty via buying "REX" from AH or players via trade chat?
Then gettting credit (Through "REX") and spending the credit for loyalty?

No info so far how much platinum "REX" is worth@ the moment.

as far as i've seen REX is mega overpriced on the AH, its obviously high in demand and so people will only sell it for crazy prices (way beyond what a F2P player would be able to afford)

i've heard some players say that $5 is all you need to spend to get enough loyalty to unlock AH listings

honestly if you want to list on AH so badly, just pay the money to unlock that........ instead of spending weeks trying to get enough platinum to buy REX
