US Returning lvl 24 twink hunter looking for advice

Seems silly, just retire the twink with honor if you dont want to level it. Why rob it of dignity. Also you'd have to queue bug to play a 24 and the F2P/VET community are very against this activity, its important we respect their wishes.

The latest patch removed characters with locked XP from bgs with levellers that have XP unlocked.

So your options are to use an exploit to get into XP on bgs or re-roll a level 20 Vet.

For a level 20 Vet you'll need to level up to 20 (allied races start at 20), lock your xp and farm gear until your subscription runs out.
Just before your sub is about to run out you'll have to unlock your xp bar otherwise you'll be classed as 'xp locked' and excluded from bgs.

Blizzard has also introduced a new loot system. All quests and some specific world drops can upgrade from Green to Blue or Purple.
If you want a hunter I suggest you focus on levelling to 20 and doing a quest that rewards a gun, pray to the RNG lords it turns out purple. If, after you've done all the quests and none of them roll purple delete the toon and start again.

There are some great resources put together by JWL and others on what items are available to you at level 20. They're on this site, seek them out.
 
I hear what you guys are saying but unfortunately I am subbed back to the game for 6mos. Figured it would be fun the to play the bgs as a "leveler" until classic. Just wanted some advice on how I could potentially upgrade.

Would I be better off just queue bugging with this current 24 then instead of leveling to 29?

I respect the vet community as much as the next guy, but it's not my fault Blizzard changed the game on me.

Queue bugging is fine dude, even blizzard have indicated this with their lack of intervention in a patch that changes other parts of the xpoff/on mechanic. Just a creative way to use in game mechanics really

/shrug The AGM, Emissary Cuffs and Charged Gear took a little effort. Looks pretty typical for a 24 really.

Now this is someone that takes their 24 pretty seriously. @Grimzee did you used to play on either Exodar or Medivh server?

@Jgadoury Since we never know what Blizzard is going to do, especially with the upcoming level squish, why not just leave that toon alone and make throw away heirloom twinks?

Dang that hurts haha, this character is coming way back from Burning Crusade when epics on such low levels wasn't a thing. I used to slot 2 charged gears of the agility; whereas, now have about 8 charged gears sitting in my bag from them used to being called ...of the monkey, tiger, etc.

@Grimzee any reason you decided to make a 24 instead of a 29 in this new age of twinks? Thanks though, I'll attempt use some of your gear for reference.

@Faerondil I'll have to reconsider my options. But my thoughts were that since my current twink appears to already be about halfway there, it would take less effort to obtain BiS items.

His twink is from when brackets were 20-24. He said “up until”

As mentioned before. Your hunter is really poorly geared. Even for its own time.
Your best bet now is to roll a 20 veteran on a separate account to let the game time run out.
They will be the only ones allowed in xpon bgs as of tuesday and 110 twinks. @Jgadoury
