Ret Pal pvp at 90

Anyone have experience or knowledge of Ret pallies in 90 pvp? I know the patch notes say they are getting a buff but I would like to understand their overall usefulness/power level in endgame pvp (BGs not arena). I don't want to finish leveling and gear my pally to just become underwhelmed.

What you can expect is some serious damage when your cooldowns are up, especially if you roll with flask+potion in bgs. But when your cooldowns are not rolling you are just very vulnerable and dont do alot of damage. What you can expect aswell, that bothers most ret palas is, that unlike most classes we actually have to stop all our damage to heal, unless we waste holy power to heal which reduces our damage which would come from Templars Verdict.

as of now ret is viable, is spec'ed/played correctly/ even with double dps comps.

5.3 just means it will that little bit more viable. 200k off heal FoL and your on your way to 1.8k ez with hunter/lock/rogue.
