EU+US Restoration Shaman vs Mistweaver Monk

As the title says, which of these 2 is better? And when I say better, I mean as a DPS. Also, BGs, Duels, etc. Thanks!

I'd say restoration have the edge when it comes to duels. They have a couple of instant heals, a godlike dot and some heavy damage if they can free-cast.

Monks have great burst but it's possible to catch them off guard if they don't have enveloping mist up. Also no instant heals - but they're still quick to get heals off.

Bgs I'd say both perform really well and it will 99% of the time come down to team comps & what support/peel you have.
For solo queue they both fit different rolls. Mistweaver feels a bit like a fury warrior when going offensive. Resto shaman feels like... elemental at 120, kinda. Their dot is through the roof damage so make sure you spread it as much as possible.
Both have mobility but if your rolls are down on your monk you can run into issues, unlike the shaman who can ghost wolf all the time.

Try both, they're both strong. Mistweaver has a more unique playstyle imo & the one I'd choose if I could find another foamspittle staff.

RShaman has the ranged interrupt - which is pretty rare/rad in 20's bracket!

It's big deal since Healers are pretty sustainable but can easily die when interrupted. The only other class with one in the bracket, I believe, is 29's mages.

rsham has a godly toolkit at this level, which is hard for mw to compete with

crazy dmg from flame shock
short cd ranged interrupt
ghost wolf 130% movement speed
strong fc if you don't have an rdruid
2x instant heals

Just gonna pile on the rsham here. F2P rsham is probably the strongest f2p healer AND the strongest "support" class in the bracket. All in one.

That said, mistweaver is good! Play one. There are so few in the bracket.

Resto as the smallest power difference between f2p and vet out of any spec in this bracket really, if you want to have the power of a vet but don't want to sub rsham is defs the move

Mw is probably not far behind, insane burst potential for both healing and damage, yet is one of the most underplayed specs in the bracket (probably due to its not very mobile healing)

Intellect shamans/monks/druids are the easiest specs to gear in this bracket, make both and you can have their gear done by the weekend, make both

I've never played a shaman in my WoW career but this thread is making me want to try it! :)
