Sorry Sharlindra but you really have no clue if you think rdruids in arena don't need the 4% hit and spell pen cap i don't really think i need to explain why, but a passive healer = a bad healer.

Yes cause all resto druids cast wrath? I'm talking about faerie fire vs rogues, entangling roots vs all melee and occasionally healers, skull bash, bear stun, cat prowl into maim. need i continue for your tiny brain to compute?

p.s don't need rating or a druid to know these things, just a general arena orientated brain, the problem with 90% of healers in the bracket are that they don't use their offensive capabilities to either cc or do damage, in the case of resto druids the former is the more apparent answer.

bg healer? not arena?

druid cant cc right, druid can root time to time, druid can, sleep the shamans and other druids, bear stun, bear kick, druid can dispell prot gays and dont let em get AP enrage from the prot spec shit, he can break vanishes and dont let the rogue stealth, he dont even have to cast anything against against mages or under the rogue, he can never run oom, never, he can heal any damage taken, he cant die, he can ALWAYS escape.

roots is possibly the worst cc in the game, bear stun and bear kick needs 2 globals to set up, and if you let a rogue get a restealth in arena then ether unlucky, or outplayed, yes the no casting thing is great due to only cover silences stoping you from healing. if a druid is cced and hots run out on a target, you have to get all hots back up asap or other team will force a kill. yes the bear form to stop mana burns is great.



druids arnt bad healers, their just the worst in this bracket due to their hots and that the bracket can be very bursty.



oh and the lack of cyclone is a major hit to the class



this isnt to say that you shouldnt choose a resto druid, as any class played well is op

I agree with both of you, Shar and Vap. Getting 4% hit and 60-70 spellpen is a waste, at least for me who play bg's more than arena. What fits me best atm is the 35 spellpen enchant at my cloak so bloodDK's/protadins and warriors won't resist Soothe for example, rogues won't resist faerie fire and the roots from nature's grasp. Getting 4% hit is a giant loss of resilience and without enough resilience a rdruid is dead against pretty much everything. Same goes for spellpen, because it is very rare that I get resisted with the 35 spellpen I currently have.



For arena I can say that 4% hit would be a good choice for Pounce and Bash etc. But since my roots/faerie fire almost never misses, I just find it a waste of having it. If cyclone came back to level 70 it would be prio to have both hit- AND spellpencap but now I don't care if it takes an extra second to get up faerie fire, or if I miss the first nature's grasp root.

its all about cuclone, hit and spell pen,

and btw there is no need in hit cap or spellpen for kicks or spellocks anymore in cata.

but 15% haste is a must. you can easly get it and you will heal MUCH stronger.

I'm with Vapriest on this one. It is pointless talking the virtues of Spell hit and Spell pen with Shar, I had the same deal with him in his rate my twink thread regarding his druid.



It is a matter of opinion, like I said in the other thread I do not give a shit about your ratings if you run 0 hit rating in arena or BG you are not using your druid to the fullest. Fine if all you do is spam heals, I prefer to use the full range of druid abilities personally...
