In my battlegroup it seems to happen every game - come the last flag cap, there are cries of 'don't cap, we want to farm for the honour!' - although usually not nearly as legible as that.
Usually this comes from those below level nineteen or the 'I have just broken the 1k hp barrier and I so totally PWN' crowd, although not all the time.
My stance on farming - gy or general - is that as long as flags are being capped in a timely manner it's a legitimate control strategy, although one that I generally prefer not to see. Once flags are being held up in order to farm though, any tolerance on my part gets thrown out the window.
My usual response is a warning, waiting two minutes to see if anyone is making an attempt and if not I then usually make some dramatic statement about having to do all the work myself and head off to return it. This either results in people following me and the flag being returned, me returning it myself if it's a really bad team or me dying and the opposing side getting the cap and letting them know I'm serious. I also refuse to give support to those farming, which usually results in cries of 'omg druid why didnt you heal me I was one kill away from wrecking ball!'.
So yeah, I tend to get a bit bitchy and vindictive over it. I hate being trapped in games because of idiots farming, and dealing with increased queue times cause the other faction gets sick of being farmed and goes off to do something else.
Just wondering if anyone else has any strategies for dealing with this?
