Replacing your Legs.

Ok, seeing as come 3.1 nearly everyone will be replacing their leg pieces for BoP options, we may aswell get a list of the best options

i have no clue with alot of them so lets fill this in!

If you see anything you feel is wrong, suggest the replacement!

Wait, do we know for sure that this applies to items level 35 and above?

Like, has anyone tested above the 19 bracket?

I feel like the key is the level of the item no? do you mean they tested it on like level 58 pants and then on level 61 pants, and the 61 pants worked but the 58 pants did not?

(Everything in tbc required level 35 (except executioner) so I was just wondering if the 60 cutoff makes any sense.)

There's probably going to be another 5 or 6 ptr iterations before anything goes live anyways, but thanks for putting together this list.

I'll see if I can add to it.

well, the thing is, enchants usually go for the required level then the item level, so for the boe to have the leg armor attached it would probably have to require level 60 now

for 19s that want health

also, smelting pants (leather, 8 stam + 7 spirit) are good for 19s that want health too, particularly FC druids.

This change will be tolerable as long as they don't make the mistake of grandfathering in people's prepatch patched pants (5xfast).

If the change does go through I can easily imagine the same happening with the librams. They are just another example of an item with a loophole around the level requirement, only lv50 instead of lv60 in this case.

I could even see the fishing gear being given a 'requires lv35' to equip, to go along with their item level of 40.

I'm not necessarily in favor of any of these changes, since they don't balance anything just make it easier/cheaper. But as long as nothing gets grandfathered then changes like this are fair*to everyone.

* I mean fair in twink vs twink combat. Certainly anyone that spent gold/time on patching their pants would lose that investment and might feel that as unfair.

My question is, what is going to happen to the items that we currently have enchanted? Are they going to be removed and deleted, removed from toon and not be able to wear until we are of the appropriate lvl, or just have the chants removed. And on top of that what about the BoA shoulders with the Inscription on it, whats going to happen to them. Im not concerned at all about losing the chants or anything, its some of the gear thats hard to come by or took awhile to earn, that has me worried.

on the PTR, based on the screenshots the items have the enchants, but the enchants do not work. the item itself maintains its stats.

if a 5 stam and 5 intellect pair of pants with golden spellthread is worn by someone on the 3.1 PTR, it gives them 5 stam and 5 intellect. armor isn't changed either, i would think.

as far as what is actually going to happen, we will have to wait and see.

Hopefully everything just gets the chants stripped and not unable to equip. I know alot of ppl that will more than likely either have to delete and start over or lvl to the next division because of being so close to lvling.

49's is missing Atal'ai Leggings with random enchantment, Blackstorm Leggings, Infernal Trickster Leggings, and Dragonstrike Leggings.

And to be honest, most of us won't see Spellshock Leggings in our lifetime due to an unrealistic drop rate in ZF so it would be best if you listed an alternative.

i really can't see them nerfing the fishing gear to require +35 to equip. that gear is obtainable at lvl-5, my lvl-10 got her hat/boots with no help.

what i can see them doing is nerfing the level of the fishing boots maybe to item level 34 so they don't take +35 BC enchants.

if they nerf into the fishing gear, they may go into the AGM. it is more OP than a lvl-58 absorption trinket from AB vendor and a lvl-40 stam/+H pre sec trinket from WSG vendor. that has always had a loophole. trinkets that require level 35 to equip, yet turn in 12 of them and boom a better no limit trinket.

It doesn't bother me at all, because I approached twinking Fen completely half-assed.

I feel kind of bad for all the people with half a bar til level x0 and can't afford to get their twink to the spots for replacement gear.

That being said, I really hope Blizzard doesn't grandfather the old gear..

Leather Users

For the 29 bracket, leather wearers who want more stam could use the Nessingwary Quest legs and hands, less agi, but more stam.

Thats what I see on PTR today.

As you can tell, this was a twink in training, so she's not yet 39. You can also see other twink items (and yes, they have enchants that will be removed :-( )
