One persons post count should be about how many posts he have written and discussed about twinks. In The Tavern very little twink discussions take place so it shouldn't really be counted!

If you base your assumption of a person's knowledge based on their postcount and not their posts that you have searched and actually seen, then that is on you. It is not up to everyone else to correct your false judgements.

I cannot see why this actually matters. If a person does not do their own research and trusts someone based on their post count, then they have a whole other set of problems that they need to look into.

It is quite easy to see who contributes here on TI and who does not.

The whole concept of having joined-date and post count is to not have to go through a user's whole post history. An active member is most likely dedicated to the community, you can't deny that many people will think that.

Then, if I may ask, what is the whole purpose of having post count and date-joined shown under ones profile? As I said above, I believe the reason to have that shown is to save people some time.

Yeah, it is getting better. Nowdays you can't troll in the brackets, most of the trolling occurs in The Tavern.

The reason for the date and post count, it shows how much you contribute to the site, and how dedicated you actually are. someone with over 2k posts is most likely not going to troll 24/7. But it is fun every once in awhile.
