Regarding GY Jumps for the Twink Cup

Considering the post of the Sign up and rules thread which is a sticky and created by Myrm on the 19th of June. I only looked there for the rules and I was going off the rules that were stated:

All tunnel, fence, and stump jumps are allowed, and people are allowed to use jumps to take them anywhere on the map that they would be able to get to without jumping. Using class abilities, goblin jump, toys, or anything else to take you somewhere that you can only get to using these abilities is not allowed. All jumps using the new graveyard walls are forbidden. The following video provides an example of some permitted jumps.

However, tasselhoof changed his post and included: After a discussion with the rules committee we have come to a consensus. Both fences, both ToTs, and both GYs can be accessed in any way you wish, whether this be a jump, or a race / class specific ability, as long as no clear glitching occurs it is okay. (walljumping / wallclimbing is not considered glitching).

ON THE 25TH ^^^^^

I thought this thread was entirely obsolete after the creation of the rules thread, and since the rules thread did not state this rule which was created 6 days later after the official creation of the rules/sign up thread I believe it shouldn't be allowed.

Lol y'all fighting over baby issues. Just learn the jumps. It's ezpz. And ppl shouldn't hide the flag in gy. Personally there are two places near both bases which make the flag untouchable cuz it's outta Los. And NO ONE knows it xcept. Me. Im gunna join the 19 bracket and see what the fuss about. If problem persists I gunna make a vid of EVERY exploit. Just PM me of mid night premades

nice confession to hacking now im going to get your ip from twinkinfo and report you to blizzard where youll go to jail for life

Just allow every jump, cause I can tell you from experience. It is funny as hell chasing a FC that knows the map well. It only gets sad when you fail to do the jump as well, that's when you /clap at said FC for being good at FC. Give credit where it's due.

I think all jumps outside of graveyard jumps are fine. The problem with this specific jump is it will make gameplay even more stale. The good thing about the Twink Cup being a community event is that WE as a community are able to police ourselves and in this situation I haven't seen anyone present an actual argument that graveyard jumps will make games better overall.

Maybe there should be some kind of vote in place by participants only. Then a new video for added jumps so no one is out of the loop. Either way sounds like you guys still have so much to work out before the TC starts.

We shouldn't even have to deliberate as to why these graveyard wall jumps are against the rules, all the banter is pretty pointless and I think most teams and players know these jumps are bullshit. Also, the argument that Alliance has a similar jump makes no sense at all, just because both sides have access to the jumps doesnt mean they should be allowed.

the argument that alliance has one too was only brought up because some were saying only horde has the advantage

my worry is the two alliance based teams in this tourney wont get horde side at all i dont think we can chose to give the alliance team the horde side when they face a horde team through the current wargame interface

Jumps are a part of the culture of the bracket. This tournament celebrates the bracket, not who is most mechanically skilled.

You are delusional if you don't think mechanical skill is one of the most important things in a competitive tournament.

I'm confused. Are jumps not a pure demonstration technical execution, and so under the umbrella of mechanical skill?

All other jumps are fine.

GY jumps are not fine because of the new GY walls.

It's that simple

............................................................................................... what am i reading??

the entire point of a "tournament" is to find the best team in a competitive manner, and you usually regulate tournaments by filtering out bullshit that ruins games and makes them less skillful, hence why stuff like crusader stacking is banned and why there are comp regulations

by your logic in "celebrating the bracket" we should just let every team queue up with 6 hunters on the roster because that's what the majority of games in pugs are

i just can't understand why people are defending this ****, why do you want every team to turtle in gy all game, so frustrating
