Recent actions on XPOFF

A lot of people have gotten their accounts banned or deleted.

This is my personal take on things, and I know a lot of people are displeased with how the rules are now being handled/enforced. So it's not a matter of why, it's the how.

So my primary concern is that a lot of these "shadow bans" and/or deletion of accounts seem to be invoked retro-actively. I don't believe this to be a healthy cause of action, given the site's past and culture.

Give people some time to adjust.

Agree, been some very weird bans happening recently feels like way to many people get banned and some for not even breaking any rules but voicing opinions mods dont agree with. These shadowbans where people get redirected are especially strange.

These people weren't banned so much as they were purged. And while I don't miss most of them, I still think some manner of "hey, acceptable behavior is changing, we're gonna give you a weekend to adjust" would have been prudent.

A transition is nessesary when a big change like this happens over night and the thread conserning it gets blocked for posting, unoticable for those logging on now and then. It should at werry least have been stickied to the front page..!

I was banned without warning or reason (though I've got a decent idea why). Still banned from the discord for whatever reason.

I actively try to keep my posts positive at all times. That being said; I am NOT a fan of the swift hammer & sickle purge. I think it sets a bad precedent. Also comes off elitist.

Tbh, every person that has been banned derserved their ass getting thrown out, account deleted and permanently erased. Wiped of the face of the earth.
When kids like Quack and Stunar display a constant toxicity, chaos and childishness, a warning is no longer a viable option. As they're seemingly incapable of acting normally even if you give them 20 warnings. A shadowban is what follows.
People need to learn how to behave themselves. The time of a thousand warnings are over! You step out of line? You're terminated indefinitely.

Have a disagreement/argument with Conq and you're almost guaranteed a ban/delete.

^ seems to be the guideline more or less.
