recently STAT rolled 4 64 twinks, among which holypockets is built almost exactly the way i described in the OP. and apparently(according to the whining posts on the official forums), they are dominating the 60 twinks. notice, they don't even have any naxx loots and they are missing some BiS pieces too.



so i don't think we need to keep arguing about whether 60>64 now.



i don't want to claim i am the first person ever to propose and advocate the idea of 64 twinking but i am definitely one of the first!

I'm not into 60 at all first.



All I have to say, is what the f**k with every bracket trying to disrespect on higher level on it?

I mean, 10s hating on 14s, trying to get least people into it.

60s hating on 64s

70s hating on 74s

What the f**k with that.



I don't know where in the world everyone started to act like god on the twink community and act like everything should be fair and happy bunny everywhere. Back in pre-bc and BC twinks were there to melt, rape, obliterate, screw, explose and destroy face, nothing more.



I'm sorry but if I had to roll in the 60-64s bracket I would probably get a 64, simply because i'm not interested in running with the exact same gear as everyone else on my level!

Also, if 64 was going to give me an advantage, HELL, I'd do it.



I can't believe you'd say, 64 are a plague to our bracket, hell little guy, those few 64 help your community to get Qs, hell, those few 64 were brilliant enough to think about it and decided to go 64.

Are 64 better then 60, I have no clue, I guess there's advantage and disadvantage for both side.



But hating on 64s because some of them are ''maybe'' raping some faces, is beyond my control. I can't believe it. I'm sorry but I'm active in the 10s and I can easily tell you it's the exact same situation in the 10s, where every old 10s are hating on those wanting or thinking about 14s and kept trying to say 14s didn't worth it. It took me months before understanding that 14 did worth it and it's just that people didn't want them that stopped 14s from going on. We're all twinking, it's all about getting the best advantage you can, That's it.

i don't know about other brackets, but the reason why 60's hate 64's is pretty obvious:



if you twink at 60 now, you need to raid like 3 months~half a year to be perfect (depends on classes of course).



if you twink at 64, it takes maybe 5000g(for engineering and gems) and maybe 3 days of work, and you end up with gears way better than those used by the 60s.



plus, there is this small group of naxx'd 60 twinks that hate 64's because a lot of socket gears(legs/chest/helm/gloves/belt etc) make corresponded naxx loots worthless, however, as i mentioned in the OP, some naxx loots are still very much BiS, mainly, (melee) weapons and selected T3 pieces+set bonuses---especially bracers and rings)

Well, they decided to go 60s. I didn't force them to.

You know, if it took you months to gear up and someone thought about the bracket and realized there was a way to get better or equal to you in 3 days you can't blame him for that.

we all know you do want to claim you were the first person. but you werent so just stfu already - 90 to 99% of your ideas are just the worst ex. 49 bracket suggestions

The problem in the 60-64 bracket isn't which level to choose. There are legitimate reasons to go 60 and legitimate reasons to go 64, depending on class and spec you play, and based on your playstyle. The real problem is that the 60-64 bracket has (with all due respect) the worst communication and coordination problems of any XP-off bracket currently in play. Bring in four experienced players from any bracket who know how to coordinate, and they could wreck any 60-64 BG.



Without exaggeration, I think Investigator, Leukrin, Holypockets, and Adizerox could team up to break the bracket if they kept at it. 60s have a few good players, but not enough to prevent the above four from steamrolling. Why the four of them would want to is beyond me, but there you go.

if i remember correctly you have a 59 shaman(which can be made 64 due to his ZG head enchant) and a 64 shaman. are you playing the 64 now?
 
My 64 materialized as a matter of chance. I had a 50 shammy I was slowly leveling, and after doing some research and discovering how easy it was to gear out a 64 shammy (and that it was the better choice over the other levels in the bracket), I thought I'd give it a try on the way through to endgame. I put in about 20 games last week, but I really couldn't say I actually play that bracket; I was there to get an in-depth feel of what 60-64 was like.

The short versionn is that the bracket has the class balance and variety of options of 70s, with the damage-to-healing ratio of 39s. Just like the 70-74 bracket, some classes excel at the higher end of 60-64, while others do better at the lower end. In theory, there's a lot to like about the 60-64 bracket. Problem is, most games I saw were typical of XP-on battlegrounds in every way, and I say that without hyperbole.

Sad but true. Overall I get better games in the 60-64 xp-on BGs than the xp-off ones.
