How do I Register a Team?
Simply reply to this thread saying that you'd like to register a team with information in the following format:
<Team Name>
<Player 1> (Class)
<Player 2> (Class)
<Player 3> (Class)
The maximum number of players for a 2v2 team is 3, of course only 2 playing in each match, and for 3v3 teams is 5 players. Do try to keep the teams as small as possible though, so that we can have more teams and therefor make the ladder more interesting.
How do I Update a Team Roster?
If a player leaves or joins your team or a player changes the name of their character you will need to update the roster for your team. To do this, reply to this thread on the TI account that registered the team with the updated version of the roster in the same format as registering a team.
How do I Disband a Team?
Just reply to this thread on the same TI account that created the team that you are wish to disband the team and state the team name.
My Team Just Finished a Match, What Now?
Reply to this thread with a Screenshot of the post-game scoreboard and the EXACT realm-time and date that you finished the match. I will be periodically updating this thread to reflect matches that have been completed, so you will have to wait until I am able to update the ladder until your rating will change. You can still play more matches while your rating is being updated.
How is the Rating Calculated?
The rating is calculated using a varient of the
"elo" rating system. The exact formula used is explained below:
New Rating = Old Rating + (K * (Result - Expected Result))
K is the weighting constant. This value is 30 for a team's first 5 games, and 15 for any games they play beyond that.
Result is the result of the match, 1 for a win, 0.5 for a draw and 0 for a loss.
Expected Result is caculated using this formula:
Expected Result = 1 / (10^(-d/400) + 1)
d being the difference in ratings between the two teams
A Few Rules
Do not leave the match before both teams have at least one screenshot of the post-game scoreboard. If all players on both team do not appear on the scoreboard then there is no way to tell if it was a legitimate match and is very unlikely to be counted. Trying to abuse this rule to evade losses will result in your team being disbanded and a temporary ban from the ladder for the leaver.
Do not try to fake results. If there is a dispute over the result of a match and there is not enough evidence to prove either side of the argument right I will not hesitate to just void the result of the match.
Remember, breaking the rules will not only result in potential removals and bans from the ladder, but will also make players much less likely to actually play against you.
All results are public, any attempt to abuse the system WILL be noticed and WILL be punished. This could just be being forced to play other teams (in the case of dodging etc) but could result in a PERMANENT BAN from the ladder. You have been warned.
