Rate of warforged drops reduced massively

Until today it was pretty close to 10% chance for WoD blues to warforge. I farmed 200 blues today I think the new rate is probably 2-3%

I wanted to submit a new post a week back asking if the dropped rate has increased lololololololol.. I ran my own 2 men wod dungeon.. Using a lvl60 and a lower lvl.. I didn't count exactly how many runs I did.. The first day I did a few hours.. And second day another few hours and gotten almost all the epics I need on a hunter (i am specific because I hunt solely mastery gears, meaning to say even if I get an epic that doesn't have mastery I am unlikely able to use it) .. But during these days, I gotten more than 2 bags full of rubbish epics which I cannot use (cloth and plates, crit/haste leather & mail).. But since I ran with my lvl60, which drops gears for lvl40, I am in fact getting 2 sets of hunter gears.. One for the current lvl and a second set usable at lvl40 (epics) .. During these time.. I got about 3 epic guns and 3 epic polearms for my lvl17.. After the 2 days I ran another low lvl hunter with my lvl60.. Gotten many gears but just can't get any epic weapon.. So I conclude it's purely a matter of luck.. But what is not luck is, the drop rate remains high.. I believe in your case, you joined a random dungeon group of 5 men team.. If this is the case, you get only 1 drop per whole dungeon (sometimes 2, sometimes none) and to have that drop proc, that definitely lower the chance

yall need to learn what probability means. A 10% chance to drop does not mean youll get 1 drop every 10 loots.

It means every time a boss drops loot, the game (essentially) rolls a 10 sided dice for each piece and gives you an epic only if that roll is a 10. Every individual roll is separate. They are not cumulative.

This does mean that over a large enough sample size, its about 1 in 10. but on your specific individual character on any given specific run, its a pretty low chance. The odds of just... not rolling a 10 always remain 90%. On every individual roll.

I ran 18 solo clears (4 blues each) and saw 2 epics. I ran another 12 in dungeon finder clears (9 blues each) and watched what everyone in the group got. In all those runs a single epic dropped. I'm used to what 10% means. I have a fully epiced 10 pally, priest, mage, 11 hunter, and 20 druid and hunter in full epics. I have previously seen two epics in a row, and I have run multiple I know 10% means you do 5 solo runs to get 2 epics. It also means if you fill your 100 slots of bags with only drops there's probably about 10 epics.

On average, this is a good, rough approximation. If you asked me to guess what any given twink has in their bags after 100 drops, placing the over/under at 10 is a good guess. But its only a guess based on global probability, its never indicative of a specific real world result

Sometimes, you're just gonna do 18 clears and only get 2 epics. Thats probability.

OFC not. I have farmed over 11k drops in the last couple of months and noticed multiple patches of no WF procs for like 30-40 kills, as well as days with less than 5 % drop rates and days with close to 40% drop rates. This does not mean that the drop chance was changed multiple times. Nothing was changed, at least not because you did not get a couple more WF items in 20 or so runs.

Just for proof, here is a comparison between my F2P Druid drops since the end of SL and the Vet Druid drops (I started the toon 6 days ago). The only noticeable difference in the % is linked to the fact that I am specifically farming bosses that drop socketable loot, so naturally the % of socket procs would be higher.

I've just done a run with no drops. Is it possible warforged items are now grandfathered?
no i just got one wf in one dung solo run 30 min ago.

also like to point out, I logged in one morning for shits and giggles, and got a WF socket with leech on my first drop. rng needs odins blessings

Chi-Squared Test - Google Sheets

I did a quick chi-square test on these results assuming that you got 6 WF-only procs and thus 194 regular blues with no stats or socks and I can confirm that your results show that you got fuckd brah

Noticed the same thing, ran 8 runs with only 1 drop

I ran another chi-square test assuming you killed 32 bosses solo for 32 drops and I can confirm your results are some ordinary stuff bro.

This thread man, cracks me up
