Not sure if this will work for everybody, but it certainly did for me big time.
If you're using a potato PC, get a new one. - If you're poor (like me) then use these 3 macro's that will increase your FPS (varies per PC I think. For me I got at least 30+ FPS from these macro's which allows me to play Arena.)
Put these 3 macro's on your action bar then press them one after each other. 1,2,3.
Macro 1:
/console m2Faster 1
/console ffx 0
/console hwPCF 1
/console shadowlod 0
/console timingmethod 1
/console showshadow 0
/console showfootprints 0
/console showfootprintparticles 0

If you're having issues with game performance currently, you may want to start saving up for a replacement for WoD, and I'm not just saying this as a member of the PCMasterRace. The minor graphics improvements that came with MoP fried my shitty,old, integrated-graphics mac, even though I had turned everything all the way down, like this macro sequence more or less does. MoP burnt up a lot of macs, I expect at the launch of WoD, many people won't even be able to launch WoW, and if they do they're computer will be running way hot. Not a fanboy of gaming machines, I still play on a crappy laptop, but it's a newer crappy laptop with a graphics card. I suggest those of you that are playing on 2007 macs to save up a few hundred dollars and buy a newer computer before WoD hits. I just really want you to be able to log in without your rig catching on fire.
Anyway when I mean "all the way down", I'm not talking about merely moving the slider all the way to the left. Go through the menus and make sure that anything like all the environmental effects that make the game pretty are off. Take a look in Config.wtf file in your WTF folder (always loved that name) and you'll find all sorts of fun variables that you can mess with. I had that 2006 mac running 5 clients, stably—for research purposes—before MoP graphics killed my fan. Not sure really where I'm going with this, but what this macro sequence does is turn off the graphics that were improved in MoP, the stuff that old laptops can't even begin to handle.

If you've got your graphics all the way down because you have a crappy computer, and are trying to fish, turn up your Liquid Detail and Particle Density graphics effects settings up to at least Fair (just when you're fishing). It's much easier on the eyes, and makes the pools a lot easier to see.

I dont know if this has been posted already, but Worgens can actually get 100% speed boost, by using Dark flight and by using the Posthaste talent which is triggered by disengage. If you use these two spells in a row you will get 100% speed for 6 seconds. Pretty usefull for a get away in BG´s
