Quick Question Regarding Rogue Weps 49 pls?

first hi to all on this site it looks awesome :)



i have looked thru lots of posts already,



i want my main hand to be sword (thrash blade) and whats best for off hand

Gut Ripper Or Shadowblade pls ?



i also have bloodrazor



so if i was on swords i would have Thrash/Bloodrazr !



And other i would have Thrash/Gut or shadow !





pls advise if this is ok or wrong too many weps out there at 49 lol



oh and would i use mongoose on all 4 or 20 agi

Thrash Blade > Bloodrazor. Sell that Bloodrazor for some gold, it's terrible for a rogue.



In the Off Hand, Shadowblade is better because of its speed, however the WSG dagger is also a good alternative because of its stats. In the Main Hand, Gut Ripper would be better than Shadowblade.



As for combinations:

Swords: Thrash Blade (MH)/ Doomforged Straightedge (OH)/ Shadowblade (OH)



Daggers: Gut Ripper (MH)/ Shadowblade (OH)/ Doomforged Straightedge (OH)/ Sentinel's Blade (OH)

also for enchants, on the thrash blade MH go mongoose, OH go 20 agility.

if you're using 2x daggers for ambush or back stab, put +7 damage on ur MH dagger, and 20 agility on OH.

dont go double mongoose unless you love procs, im pretty sure over the course of a BG static +20 agility would be better than hoping for an OH mongoose proc.
 
Or if you're horde and feel like being a little riske you can use http://www.wowhead.com/?item=10696 OH with executioner, berserking, or superior potency (would net max unproc'd AP). Though I hear berserking doesn't proc much and isn't worth it in the long run. I suppose it would just be a more for the lulz kind of thing. Make sure you pick it up either way if you're horde, as it's the one of the only WotLK enchantable weapons and it's horde acquirable only.
 
It's pretty feasable to put accurracy on it too, +25 crit rating and +25 hit rating scales extremely well at 49.
 
yea for OH use i'd say 65 AP or accuracy is your best bet. 25 crit is very nice, and 25 hit on the weapon free's up other enchants/gear pieces for other stats.

berzerking and executioner is nice, but it sucks waiting for an OH weapon proc. especially as a rogue who wants to kill asap, you dont wanna rely on a proc.

Understandable, but vs other classes in say arena, having executioner vs a plate wearer could be pretty damn helpful. Or berserking on a disc priest for a massive burst. Just some thoughts.
 
Mongoose on the OH would be better than berserking. It just doesn't proc enough to be consistent. Executioner is nice as well, but the proc isn't that high either.

Lol I believe we discussed this in a different thread too... I was only suggesting those enchants on that weapon because they're able to be put on it, obviously they're not ideal, but it would be amusing to have and play around with for a bit. If he wanted goose oh he could just toss it on doomforged or the wsg blade. Executioner ppm is slightly lower than mongoose and of course OH it will be even lower, and zerking is dismally low.

got my weps right now and im alliance so cant grab that other wep but its np, now i got to see what wont work since the patch that messed the leg armor and head chants up :(



anyone link there char from armory pls i was a fully kitted 29 rogue once hehe

no head chants. you can use +40 armor leg patches though! yay for 40 armor...

everything else works (no BoA shoulder enchants either, but oh well)

Lol yeah it's no big deal on the felbane weapon, it would have been a more for fun kind of thing. The only leg "enchants" that still work are armor kits, even lesser arcanums from the libram quests can't be used on head or legs till lvl 50 anymore. And grats on being able to get your money back on bloodrazor.



BTW, found an interesting post about executioner and it seems the proc rate is the same as mongoose at ~1.15-1.2 ppm. Also mentioned is that dual mongoose is considered better for arena, not sure in bgs though.

I wasunder the impression that stuff like crusader, mongoose, executioner, berserker were all at 1 ppm, apparently that was incorrect.

thanks for that and yeah nice gear but i kinda get totaled atm as on our server all horde are twinked but on alliance side im only twink so all come for me lol :( so sub aint working for me think should go combat swords. anyone got a good talent spec for Combat please ?

if you cant survive as sub then something is wrong. combat will just be a step down considering no premed, prep, etc. sub gives you the most CD usage on with lowest cooldowns. basically just try to recruit more allies or something lol, but nothing should be wrong with sub

http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44493 vs. http://www.wowhead.com/?item=38948 if you look at the description you can also understand that it isn't at the same proc rate as the others. "Sometimes" vs. "Occasionally", I know it's only wording, but it also alludes to the actual proc rate.
