quick proffesion question:

with all the enchants being nerfed, obviously some proffesions are going to be less useful

is the herbalism lifeblood buff being nerfed as well? because otherwise that seems like the way to go.

also, how about alchemy ? seeing as these arent item enhancements i would think the alch trinket and on-use ability from herbalism would remain the same

Lifeblood is going to scale with level aswell. The alchemy trinket however is going to remain the same.

Ah yeah, LW enchants are going to scale aswell. So are the Inscription enchants.

why BS? i'm finishing up a hunter right now, which means i'll get to put a gem in the bracers and maybe if i use the cloth gloves for 2ndaries, but i thought gem's were getting nerfed as well so wouldnt BS not be as good

Gems arent really nerfed, secondary stat gems are being buffed to double what they are now and stat gems stay the same. So right now on my priest I have +20 haste gems, in 5.4 they will be +40. Although I guess it would vary from class to class..

but you could have +50 haste or +50 agillity etc in belt/gloves/wrists they go down to 20 (or 40 ) right

Yep, but the +40 versions go to 32 ^^

damn. i guess i have to re-level alchemy on my 80's even though i had just dropped it a couple months ago for herbalism and skinning -_-
