US Questions For 29 Twink Druid?

Hey all!
couple questions:

1. Is it better to make a 29 twink or a 20 twink? What's the balance details on this? Seems like even people that pay for the game are making lvl 20 twinks instead?

2. What is the absolute best in slot gear for a balance druid for 20-29 bracket? have about 1mil gold to dump into my Toon. Getting back into the twinking scene.

3. i made the toon on the new server Aegwynn, but i'm getting 15 minute queue times... idk if that's normal but it's awful! i had the thought that it's the battle group of the new server and maybe i should just reroll on a more populated twinking battle group? any suggestions here?

The biggest and first difference between 29s and 20s is that if you play lvl20 you play for free. So nothing to pay.

Maybe you should try lvl20 first and if this is annoys you, you try 29 then. If you do the opposite you will pay first and then you'll play for free so it's some money wasted

this makes sense. i don't really care about paying for the game. so 29 is not an issue if it's better. i was wondering if there are balance differences? like for example the game scales the lower levels to an unbalanced level and they happen to be stronger in some weird way?

No 29s are stronger, and have more spells.
 
If you're going full glass cannon, id also recommend horde. There's quality int gear from the krom'gar quartermaster in stonetalon that can fill slots until you farm those sweet, sweet epics.

Thank you! i suspected this, but what threw me off is i would see a few people with a 59 twink, 49 twink, 39 twink, 20 twink, and 19 twink... they obviously pay because they have other twinks, so wtf did they make their 20-29 bracket 20? and it wasn't just one person, it was a couple. This is what was troubling me. But the more spells and higher ilvl because higher level makes complete sense.

Back in cataclysm blizzard introduced f2p accounts with no time limit, some players decided to make f2p accounts on the side of their other account to play in a bracket of their won, because blizzard in cataclysm split the brackets in to x0-x4 and x5-x9. And since no 21-24 twinks existed they had a bracket to themselves, without op enchants the pacing was alot smoother than other twink brackets, then other people saw this and since there was xp off and xp on at this point they made fully decked out 24s to beat up on this new bracket because it was the closest they could get to levelers. In WoD blizzard made the brackets x0-x9 again and all the 24s were magically gone and 29 twinks were a thing again.

But ye pretty much all f2p twinks still have a paid account they just dont make their f2p characters on that account. When blizzard brought back xp on and xp off in BfA f2ps since they have their xp on were put in the xp on category with levelers leading to faster queues while 29s have their xp off and queue against other 29s. But since 29s only existed to beat up on people who didnt twink at 29 with drums and pots, 29s died pretty much instantly because the last thing 29s wants is to fight other 29s.

thank for you explaining the history to me. sucks that my 29 twink will now die pretty much because the queue times are 20 minutes+....
