Question about garbage gems - Delicate Tourmaline etc - has anyone gotten these to work?

Hi,

I am just trying to use some filler gems while farming ilvl 28 stuff and i bought these off the scyer merchant. For anyone who does not know these gems you can buy really cheap and they have +1 stats. I'm on a level 25, and it doesn't seem like i can slot the agility ones. Has anyone else tried this? Is there some sort of secret level or ilvl requirement?

Shouldn't be for any Gem through WotLK. I have socketed Crafted Gems of all sorts even on Level 1 Gear. Cata's Gems are iLvL 35, MoP iLvL 38, etc. However, I haven't tested ANY Vendor Gems.

I'm trying to stuff it in a tbc item too and it doesn't seem to work on either pair of gloves i have with 2 sockets. Again, i am level 25.

Nevermind. Got them to work.
