EU+US PVP Power

I’m curious as well as I want to really maximize gem sockets for resillence stacking. I play a prot paladin in this bracket and there very strong damage wise from what I’m seeing.

TBH, I find this bracket too bursty to even consider tanky builds, but I would be really interested in any results you can report to us if you try this :]

BTW, I recommend 69s. You have a lot more gem sockets available, around 20-22 depending on the class. That should take your PvP damage to around 36% with a full PvP power gear. That is around 10% more than what 60s can get.

I was playing prot in 7.3.5 where i was enjoying it a lot, but it felt like it got hit a lot harder than ret in the 8.0.1 transition. Feels like a wet noodle to me even fully geared and specced towards damage. On top of that it lost a bunch of magic damage reduction since Shield of the Righteous is only armor.

Yea pally is really lacking survival atm with ret and prot. It’s that and combination of other classes doing way too much damage and if you focused it’s instant death

I’ll run some bgs tonight
On my 60 while leveling profs and post a screen grab or 2 of what I’m seeing. My current set up is a strength/versatility set with lots of chance on hit procs

I feel Ret is actually OP for survivability, it has blessing of kings for a ~600 damage shield every 6 seconds, it has an absurd number of buttons to reset a fight(Shield of Vengeance, BoP, Divine Shield, LoH) and the new pvp talent to give instant flash of light procs is pretty close to a 15 second cooldown LoH on its own.

Ret is strong asf lol their pvp talent + their sheer amount of shields makes them obnoxious to play against even as a death knight

As I mentioned earlier I would do a few BGS on my 60 prot paladin and post results. As can be seen, Prot can be highly competitive. If paired with proper support I have reason to believe it can really be a wrecking force, but I am having trouble find that level of co-operation at the moment. Now this is using resillence, not pvp power so I do want to make sure to emphasize that.

updated to add one more photo to show consistency across the board. GOing back to my 70s for a bit;)

it doesn't reflect on the tooltip, but it works.
Do the PvP Power increase the dmg of Proc (Enchant, Weapon) and Trinket or only spell ?

Somebody know the % for a PvP Power score of 86, and 116?
With the script /run print(GetPvpPowerDamage()), I saw that 26 = 6,17% (In Bgs) for me so it will be respectively 20,41% or 27,53% increased damage ?

But even with a score of 26 (cloak with the +11 (up to +14 in Bgs) and the Ring from AV) i should see a little difference when i hit somebody but nothing..

yes it increase procs, enchants, etc. everything versatility would it just doesn't show in the tooltip like versatility.

The problem is by changing all my gems i will loose 60 Str for 60 PvP Power, So my Strength will decrease to 355 which represent a loss of 16,90%. 60 PvP Power represent a gain of 14,2% Damage.
So Loss plus gain = -2,66% which is negative ...
That's why i am so fucking lost with this stat

Strength doesn’t increase damage to proc items which plate rooms are all about. 3-4 minimum damage dealers. Pvp power does.
[doublepost=1533509821,1533509769][/doublepost]For agil and int users tho I’d imagine mark of honor gems are best. Aka 5 stat 5 secondary

There is definitely a point where strength is better, but i think if you are geared correctly you don't have to worry about it, you will already be past that point. PvP power benefits all your direct damage procs and your buff procs. It makes that crusader proc 20-25% better too. Same for food and potions and 10% AP shout, etc.
