if im honest, there is an old tbc private server with the old patch prior to the wotlk being released...

the problem is the content is now about 5 years old and with all the new spells ect you wl never be ble to get the feeling of "nostalgia" as you say you want to create...

Yeah, that's of course true, but the TBC private servers i've tried have honestly not been any good :/ bugs everywhere.
We know we cant ever get the same challenge as back then, but we're trying to get as close as possible. And i could imagine SWP being a bit more fun like this
It's also partly to make people reexperience the happiness of seeing an epic drop from a last boss in a heroic dungeon, as it' will be some of the best items you are allowed to use

I leveled to 11, logged out, and when i logged backed on, i was in the middle of the maelstrom.. I leveled as a blood elf and i had just arrived in Ghostlands.
Apart from that i constantly saw people in an 'entire-server-chat' looking for a GM to fix a problem for them.

We want to see how challenging SWP will be like this. Elkiva, team leader, made these rules in the first place, but who knows. We might do what you suggested at a point

The issue with using Level 60 Raiding gear is the gearing process.

It'll take a great deal of time to gear everyone up accordingly, it's a good idea which has been floating around with some of the officers for a good amount of time now. If we chose to do so then we'll inform you all within the guilds thread. However for the time being I think we'll stick to our current gear system.
