US PSA: Don't take time off work YET for TC2017

There's a chance it'll get pushed a week, but we're not 100% sure yet.

If you plan on taking time off work (if you work weekends) don't do it yet as it maybe pushed a week as it conflicts with recently released dates of the Official Wow Cups.

We'll know more in a week tops.

There is lots to consider when preparing for a huge event like this. I am sure everyone would prefer a well organised TC a week later than scheduled, rather than a completely unorganised but on schedule one.

I would prefer a TC that is well organised enough to know whether they have time to host it on the date they themselves chose.

I feel like you're jumping at the chance to throw shade here. Wasn't the date picked quite some time ago? If it was chosen months in advance they couldn't have possibly known it would conflict with Blizzard Qualifier Cups that didn't have dates posted yet...

So that's the reasoning? How was I supposed to know that reasoning, if that is in fact the reasoning then I fully support changing the date of the Twink Cup.

Yeah the dates were released this weekend for WoWs cup, as linden referenced in the OP, all good though.
 
The 28-29th and 4-5th is the Wow cups. We're considering pushing the date back a week to 11-12th, but no decision is being made until we all actually sat down and have gone through things to make sure we got all the facts straight. There's some things that needs to be discussed, Thursday/Friday we'll have word most likely.

I know a few people have already taken time off, and to those we're truly sorry if it turns out the date gets pushed. But let's not take the sorrows in advance.

Who here is even involved in the wow cup
 
I'm assuming you don't want a conflicting event for an audience. Still, I'd imagine there'd be very little crossover from an endgame tournament to a TC.

if anything, getting more viewers in general on the twitch wow stream page is probably an advantage to the TC's potential audience. Especially since there's quite a long amount of downtime between games/series on the EU/NA blizzard run cups.

I agree with this fully, might be advantageous actually. And on another note have you guys compared between which times the wow cups are compared to the TC? might be different.
