Shield of Maraudon - Item - World of Warcraft is about the best shield you can get(sadly I got the shield and vendored it before I deleted my prot war. When I restored it I couldn't restore the item T.T ). Platinum sword might be good, but I'm pretty sure regular heirloom will scale a bit better. a teensy bit of crit over haste probably isn't worth the weapon DPS.
Most of your damage will come from Deep Wounds, procced on everyone in your Tclap radius along with the snare(I suggest the glyph to make it 14y, it's deceptively big and will unstealth rogues etc while being resource free so you don't have to build rage to do it) and your biggest single target will be using Revenge. All 3 of these abilities (along with victory rush) use only your AP as the deciding factor -- however -- execute, devastate and to a lesser degree Heroic Strike(only 105%, a weak filler) do scale off weapon damage, making a
Sword of Decay - Item - World of Warcraft attractive as a 1h. One of the benefits of prot is that you don't get rage-starved and will be ready to execute at nearly any time, and that weap could help guarantee that execute kills -- I've had a few people survive my executes with my prot build, as they're about 1300 noncrit.
My prot's build (in sig) is decidedly less "glass cannon" since my %-based self heals and dmg reduction all make stamina more effective(I run with about 9-10k in BGs), so I can stick around mid much safer(since I can't just roll away like a BM monk) but should give you a rough idea. Shield of mara from the mara quest is the shield you want though. Up to you on the weap (I'd get a sword of decay if one ever showed up on Sargeras)
Upside to prot>arms is increased survivability, ease/speed of applying your spread pressure, and no chance of rage starvation while you get to stay in defensive stance. Downside is that deep wounds is inferior to rending everyone by a decent margin and that you don't bring mortal strike debuff
Anyway, best of luck
P.S. I like the scarlet 2p, you're giving up 15 crit for 1AP and 5stam. Kind of a sidegrade to much cheaper alternatives, but it's classy.
