Prot Warrior Survivability

Hey im new here and I was thinking of rolling a prot warrior 49 and was wondering if my survivability is good enough heres the link. http://www.warcrafter.net/sandbox/137934?b=0A I was thinking of having minimum 4k health with enchants.

I hope somebody can give me some enchants tips of what kind of enchants i should have this is my first twink ever:D and some rotation tips or something else you want to share.

Arms all the way IMO.

Juggernaut in the Arms tree has warriors all flocking over to arms.

However, prot is still very good, 4k is a nice goal to shoot for

I dont think i will go for Arms, you see my two friends is making a 49 rogue and a 49 priest so i decided i should go for warrior prot because my friend already decided that he wanted to be DPS so i thought i could try Prot.

That doesn't neccesarilly mean that PvP will be like PvE and you will take aggro.

Infact it would be better to have 2 of you DPS and one heal.

With buffs, 5k is easy to hit. Before the patch my 49 prot pally was hitting 5.3 buffed and sometimes higher.

'dis is 5.3k post-patch without buffs though. ;p

Prot's cool, can be an ass to take down if you and your rogue buddy keep your healer clear of bad guys and play it defensively.

Another thing you might want to try is go arms in prot gear and see how it pans out, odds are it'll be interesting. Sure, you'll lose 2% health and some expertise by swapping from vitality to strength of arms, no last stand, no conc. blow, no imp. revenge/toughness.

On the other hand, you gain juggernaut, the ability to spam 4 revenges before it fades, half the disarm duration, mortal strike, imp. overpower combined with taste for blood, etc.

If you're going for dual spec you could try one prot and one arms build.

As prot, the gear listed above is goodie good I would think.

When it comes to arms I'd imagine axe spec is best no matter how you flip it, so an Axe of Rin'ji to replace the Viking Warhammer would be a good idea. ;p

U're gonna have to choose between crit/hit/ap vs stam.

Revenge gets 20% AP contribution.

Concussion blow gets a 75% AP contribution.

Shield slam is based off block value.

U want to crit on these attacks and there are only a few talents that modify crit so while going for stam is great, doesn't do much good if u hit like a wet paper bag.

Hammer of the Northern Wind, Bloomsprout Headpiece, Vice Grips of the Bear, you need these in the prot build (just a change to tweedle's build on chardev)

Yah, the chardev link I posted is stam stacking only, obviously you'll want to balance things as Alkaholic points out.

5.3 pre 3.1...darn thats kinda weak, altho i value sta highly and maybe u didnt as much, oh well =P

hammer of northern wind is overpriced garb man...get viking warhammer or axe of rinji for good prot set. and for gloves i use cragfists of the bear. don't knock em b4 u look at em closely, they are pretty rockin gloves from an ez instance.

Axe of Rin'ji = Bad MS/Overpower.

Your choice for 1H Arms build is Ribsplitter IMO.

stop mixing opinions into discussions if you have solid proof that whatever you are suggesting is better.

also, go go revenge spam.

^ ^ @ tweedle. saying he hit 5.3 before the patch buffed. kinda weaksauce imo, but hey, what ever gets the job done i spose.

oh & ribsplitter of bear/monkey > rinji. altho im not sure where 1h MS came up, if this is talking about prot.

1h arms is so god awful. just farm some money for an executioners cleaver pls.
