Prot dps questions

Prot dps, how viable, pros/cons and is this old character worth fixing up? Hølycøwløl @ Nagrand - Community - World of Warcraft (yes I am aware he has boa leather shoulders and pimp hat, but would change if worth fixing up.)

Also if possible - a BIS chardev non gf

I would say prot dps are very viable. I love playing my prot pala with dps gear. Does alot more damage than ret + amazing offheals and surviveability. AS critting around 1k with crusader + silence on that is a big love too. Have lost nearly all my interest in my feral, this pala is my only "active" twink atm. Perfect for killing efc and with all fc:ers you aren't forced to carry flag, thank god.

Prot paladins are the best 1v1 class in the bracket a good viable pug dps

Chardev isn't really working right now because the BoA stats on Wowhead are messed up so when you put them into Chardev you're using incorrect BoA stats.

^ as above cept remember to change your gloves chant. Pallies no longer get crit or armor from agility so go 7 str.

since you already have the int argas, use one of the rings with hit.

Consider a felsteel spike on redbeard rather than stam.

Have multiple weapons. When sader procs either go to a diff sader weapon for multi proc, or 15 str weapon, or against rogues/feral possibly living steel.

This was my original chardev experiment except rings were DPR and str argas, felsteel spike and Sparkmetals since the HR was lowered. Will add 100 mana to this build and my other two bloodsoaked's for switching though. Thanks for all the input guys Will rename Cptnamerica as an indirect request

Yeah 100 mana to chest is definitely a good option as a prot pally. You won't have to worry about running out of mana as much and will be able to get more heals off if needed.
