One thing I can tell you is that chest piece heirlooms will be available in the next content patch. They will provide a 10% experience bonus that stacks with the shoulder bonus.

Cloth robe:

43 armor

8 stam

8 int

+2 crit rating

+6 spellpower

+10% exp



Leather chest:

95 armor

8 agility

8 stamina

+1 hit rating

+12 AP

+10% exp



Mail chest:

195 armor

8 Strength

8 stamina

+2 crit rating

+1 hit rating

+10% exp

Im guessing it would be like shaman/hunter "Mail" BoAs, and would scale from Plate to Mail depending on level.

Assuming they would most likely be about the equivalent of a level 18 blue item when worn at 19 (like the current herilooms), [ITEM]Blackened Defias Armor[/ITEM], [ITEM]Tree Bark Jacket[/ITEM], and [ITEM]Toughened Leather Armor[/ITEM] might still be better for certain builds.



I hope so anyway.

blizz made it so that heirloom's armor class scales with the level of the toon wearing it.



For a sub-40 sham/hunter, the shoulders are technically classified as leather, then if you reach 40, they 'turn into' mail

Honestly I like that they've done chest. Shoulders meh, every class/spec that I can think of had at least a decent shoulder option, hopefully boa chests can close the inferno robe gap a little if itemized well.



What I don't like about it is the creep. Chests next patch, what comes after that, helms? Pretty soon there'll be one path to gearing a twink for every class, and that blows. I've hated that concept since the warlord set was released. Sure there was a good reason to do so, but it's still pretty boring when everyone looks identical and hasn't used any creativity to put a set together.

I'd guess the chromatic carapace/pristine hide of the beast chests have a good chance. Invulnerable mail too.

You're too worried. They can't be noobs if they have an 80. Maybe new to the bracket, but if you can pvp at 80 you can PVP at 19. What makes an old twink more leet? Being able to buy a treebark jacket or picking up robe of the moccasin in a WC run?
