Post nerf BiS?

DC summoned dragons' casts hit for 50-60 each now, same on the PTR. Depends on your versatility.

he's adding all the casts up to get 240 damage in that quote.

Honestly, the way theyre going i'd not be surprised if quest rewards become no-contest BiS.

Thats an 80% nerf from what it was before. What are blizz even doing? Why even leave the effect in the game.

Firebreather is starting to look like the best 1 hander IMO. Dependable burst damage, with a pretty strong dot. Im gonna test it out tomorrow on live/PTR
I just tested it out on live. The fireball hits for 80 damage and 120 damage over 6 seconds. 200 damage overall, not 200+200. Maybe lord generals sword is the play after all

Im getting 55 damage on the PTR. With 2% versatility.

edit- and from what I could tell ironfoe was hitting for 115 or so, on a rogue with no gems yet.
interesting, how exactly do you track how much iron foe is doing? wouldn't it show up as a white hit or does it say "thrash blade" or something like that

does it say "thrash blade"

This.

I had the hand of justice on too, that's the one I cant track. Once I swapped in another trinket and "thrash blade" stayed I knew it was ironfoe. The damage is the same as live, it's just an extra melee white attack.

edit- and I had it off-hand too. If it matters. it really doesn't proc much at all.

It only really changed for enh and monks, I think. Maybe a little for everyone else? But only drastically for those 2.

Dragon's call was kinda just more fun IMO, still can be... just less damage. None of them really proc that much, tbh, just hit really hard when they did. At least for monk, I never tried enh before they nerfed it. Still scales with vers too, I think.
They both proc an extreme amount my friend.

That is getting nerfed also.

Not anymore....

edit- classes that aren't shaman can see a decent chunk of damage without a singe proc. A simple % increase might be better. You benefitted from spellpower AND windfury, right? That's your damage and your procs over another class.

Now there's no more spellpower modifier.

I'm saying from FDK, monk, and now rogue usage, they don't proc "a lot". Said right in the quote I didn't use enh…

I just ran to the practice dummy in SW on my FDK, did 25000 damage dual wielding fist/wraith.

4 procs. 200 each. 3% of that damage. That's not "a lot".

edit- just did another, swapping out to elemental force over crusader, so it took longer. 25k damage ---> 2 procs. Elemental force procs "a lot" but it's not worth giving up crusader, IMO, so it's moot... but they don't proc "a lot".
(ele force procced 22 times for 2.3k damage, almost 10%)

edit2- and that's all on LIVE. Not even the ptr...
