possibly confused about f2p

I was not able to queue pvp on any of my twinks, and i thought it was because all my accts were vet, so I made a new acct and leveled to 15 (I know this is a 19 forumn, but im assuming same things will apply at 15 as 19)...I still get the same message that free trial accounts cant participate.
Do I have to make one that isnt even connected to the same bnet as a vet? Or am I doing something else wrong?

Do you have XP turned off? If you have XP turned off you cannot queue for BGs on a trial account. Also if you do have XP off and turn it back on again you will still not be able to queue for BGs on that toon.

I just tried queueing on a level 10 trial account toon and it let me in the queue.

Pook is correct. Unsubbed accounts cannot queue for instanced pvp / battlegrounds when their experience is disabled. This includes starter edition accounts

Once you hit 20 on the starter edition and reach the starter edition level cap, you will be able to queue pvp

In short. You can’t have a starter edition 19 with xpoff and queue pvp

Free to play pvp is only : a) not a vet acct b) level 20 c) never had xp off

interesting set of circumstances
if I've missed anything, please advise but if that's it, i understand now

I'm pretty sure if you reenable XP you can queue again. It used to be that if you locked XP without game time you couldn't unlock it without game time or asking a GM, but I think they fixed that a while back. I don't think there's ever been a time when you could unlock XP but some invisible flag still kept you from queuing.

I just tested this actually. I was able to re-enable XP and queue for battlegrounds.

For arenas, which is what I actually want to do, I no longer get the error, but when i click to enter queue, just nothing happens. Is this expected?

so, my arena skirmish at level 15 with xp on should be working? instead of just me clicking and it doing nothing?
