Possible future lvl downscaling!

According to an article on wow.com, blizzard is thinking about giving players the ability to downscale their level.

That would have positive effects on twinking I think!

This is really quite interesting,. I just skimmed the article, but i wonder if high level loot would be downscaled to be lvl 19 loot if we, for instance, were to bring our level 20 with blackwolf bracers to level 19 would i be looking at a lvl 19 with 7stam bracers? If only...

well it effectively can mean a level 60 on a xp off could level to 61, and then downscale back to 60 and play in the AV bracket as if nothing has happened.

what about quest items? they dont have lvl req to use would be op

don't cream in your pants fellas, if/when it's implented I'm sure they'll keep such things in mind to achieve some degree of balance

They will need to come up with some nifty system to prevent players "exploiting it".



Imagine a griefer playing in xp-on BG's: ding to 40 -> downscale to 39 -> rinse-repeat.



It will take some time to implement it, if it ever gets through all the trouble.

sounds like a RAF type thing, it does say let you temporarily level down.



a system like that would allow high level players enjoy and do 1-60 level azeroth content without having to reroll a player and since nothing is changing in BC, when you hit 60, just reset your player to 85
