Anyone else experience pitiful fucking performance by your WOW application? Im getting 5+ minute loading screens and lag everytime i get near enemy players. This only started happening after the patch. Might be time to step down to f2p pking in osrs.

I had some issues since the patch too, but I cant be sure it's WoW and not nvidia since I had 2 updates since then.

Biggest one is that my windowed mode keeps resizing out of fullscreen, or relocating to center screen if I have more than one wow account running. Happens in a lot of the same places (like the ambassador building for new allied races).

Performance-wise I'm fine, but lately i've been lagging (ping-wise) like hell when im pvping sometimes. Maybe repair game files?
 
I dual box, and both my screens resize themselves now and lag when I run them, it's become a very big annoyance, considering I have not had this issue prior to the newest patch.
 
Close the porn tabs.
 
This probably has nothing to do with ur computer OP as I had the exact same on my pc, it's shitty perfomance from wow's side. The fix for it is deleting both your WTF and interface folder (this will reset most of ur settings and all ur addons tho) but this fixed it for both me and my friends.

-Check background updates. They kill the performance. (auto updates, windows, other programs etc.)

-When you meet a long loading screen, check Windows task manager -> Performance
If you can see something which drains your CPU or RAM power, this is probably a gift from torrent, porn or freeware trojan.
(sometimes a PC restart solves this problem, it may not be something dangerous)

-If you still use oldschool harddisk , buy SSD. It feels like buying a new PC. Don't waste money on expensive CPU's, GPU's.

-If you've trouble at other games or something. Update your GPU's software.

If you were able to run it with no major issues before the patch then it is clearly blizzard fuck up.

Had issues of 10 min start up and crashing for a month with 8.1 start.

Do you have AMD gpu?
Look at blizz support forum. bound to be more people.

Hope this works if not its time to play maplestory 2 or something.
 
Have you checked to see what API you are using. The last major patched switched my API to Direct X 12 instead of 11 and while it didn't cause any performance decrease it did slow my load times and caused huge graphic errors in the form of these like black textures just going crazy all over my screen. I initially though my hard-drive was dying but once I switched in back to Dx 11 everything fixed itself. This was on a Rx 460.

This fixed my extreme lag when dual boxing, i lag wayyy less now, thanks for pointing this out!

word. this was a huge improvement
 
Resizing the game window when in windowed mode always freezes the shit out of the game, I'll check the dx settings. It works well in the char select screen but not in the world. I'm running on a gtx970 on the desktop. Right now I'm playing 3 clients at the send time, occasionally 4.
