Hello guys, I recently made a Restoration Druid and I am having a lot of fun with him, He is the first class I have ever used to heal PvP.
I was hoping that you clever people could give me some feedback and answer some of my questions related to playing/gearing Resto Druid.
Voodoomkin @ Aggramar - Community - World of Warcraft
Currently equipped is my Stamina/FC gear set.
When not piling up on stamina, the gear above is swapped with:
Brilliant Necklace
Tumultuous Cloak of the Sorcerer
Noble's Robe
Owl Bracers (This is subject to change, sometimes I choose to keep the bear bracers, which do you guys think is better?)
Stillwater's Signet Is sometimes, but rarely used, over Advisor's Ring depending on whether or not I need the spirit.
The Intellect set above is going to be a Haste Stacking set when finished, It will have items such as:
Musty Tome of the Lost (Scales to 7/4/4 in BG's, WoWHead, F2PDev and Lil's Scaling Index are all incorrect) (If anybody could get in touch with Lil to update it, as I know a lot of people use her fantastic thread)
And 2x Swift Hand of Justice
And possibly Darkmoon Robe Of the Sorcerer.
But I was wondering how viable a haste stacking set is compared to the usual Crit stacking sets that we see on Resto Druids, sets that include:
Gloves of the Hero
Merger Boots
Girdle of Nobility
Dignified Headmasters Charge
Which Set do you guys think would be better? The High haste set, with a lot of spirit (This set will have 8.12% + Percent Haste when finished, I can not get an exact figure as F2PDev does not have the correct numbers on BoA Offhand (Figuring it out mathematically, there would 8.445% Haste when finished)
Secondly, as haste already seems popular, does anybody know the percentage needed at level 20 for the first break point of Rejuvination or the HoT on regrowth? The point at which you get an extra tick per spell? I assume this is around 8% as a healer friend told me it was possible as F2P but any lower than 8% seemed too low, the reason I ask is because if the first breakpoint is reachable at the 6.1714% Haste (without a haste trinket) then that will allow me to use a PvP Trinket in its place.
Which leads me to my final question, Do you guys have any tip's for positioning in BG's? I find myself getting noticed and killed too easily very often and I don't know when is best to retreat (We could be 2 against 5 and I seem to think I can out heal the enemy damage on the friendly rogue that is with me, and end up being killed myself along with him)
Thank you very much for reading what has been a very long "Rate A Twink" I may, with enough feedback on the questions provided above, be making a Restoration Druid guide based on healing for BG's (Not for arenas, I can heal decently in them, but my positioning etc. sucks.) as many guides that I see don't have any Gear Tips for certain styles of play...
