Hey there Äecem!
A big hit....!? Oh, please don't make me blush!
For the time being, I'm only playing in the US F2P bracket on Aerie Peak, Horde - and I think this will be the only bracket I'll be playing in for as long as low lvl PvP stays unbalanced(so for forever?). As long as Blizzard doesn't care about low lvl brackets and actually making them work decently, they wont be seeing my money…!
Oh no… I just started this with a displeasing direction, the whole thing sounds kind of negative! Again! Lets carry on to the second question - quickly! ^^
You've got a point there! Ok then… ;p What got you into WoW in the first place and specifically the bracket you're playing in right now? Was it just luck, or did someone pull you in - bad influence?
A couple of ages ago I got WoW plainly out of curiosity, along with my younger sister, as we were deep into fantasy stuff at that time and decided to get a head start with some pretty Night Elves!
Long-story-short, having experienced everything possible (Raiding and stuff) I quickly got bored of what was going on, and just out of the blue I got to know about twinking - specifically 19 PvP! My sister didn't quite like the whole concept and decided to stick to endgame content which she was familiar with.
Over time I got attached to 19s and played in the bracket for a long time (with two or three gaps in between but whatever)! After that long time, I decided to quit 19's for good - not the month on - month off kind. When I would get bored along with a hint of nostalgia, I would read some old german PvP Forums about 19 PvP and some TwinkInfo… and then one fateful day I came across this "new bracket" - it was the F2P!
Having made up my mind about not paying for WoW again, no matter how well advertised and flashy it was, this F2P bracket looked like the right way to go. To be honest, I initially thought that something that's free can't be that good… and if you compare it to the 19s that I had been playing, it's not much different, it's unbalanced, it's not good regarding what it COULD BE like - if someone at this company cared about PvP, but let's not go there again…
Still, curiosity won and I tried it - and I'm so glad i did - really!
Trust me I when I tell you that we're all glad you did! So going into serious stuff... what do you like the best from your daily twinking experience and what would you not hesitate to change?
Quite frankly, I like it when people get active - when they group up for premades and arenas! It used to takes some extra activity and advertising (and promises of cookies! °,....,°), but today there are full AB/WSG premades going on every day for long hours, it feels just great! No one should be left to solo queue when so many geniuses in our community work to make bracket specific addons for us or organize events! After all, everyone that chose to play F2P on Aerie Peak chose the realm for its community, right?
Looking to the other part of the question, this could also be the thing I wouldn't hesitate to change - get those lazy people on! COME ON LAZIES! Get active! Everything else is fine really… ^^ (Besides the general low lvl PvP issues which i will NOT cry about in this Interview once more!)
I think that was the third time you did but I guess you don't want me to go there… So, overall how do you feel about the f2p community? How are people coming along? Would you suggest it to other people?
Well… I can only speak for the Aerie Peak F2P community, even though I feel that the two are one and the same.
Its a fact that there is a number of players alone on other realms, and that's fine, at least they have a higher chance on AGM and have constant help from their mains - but everyone that wants to be in touch with other F2P Twinks all the time and be part of the daily humor and runts, should go ahead and join Aerie Peak where the cool kids hang out! <3
I will try to avoid naming them all, but there are many many many great people on Horde AND Ally! A lot of them having Twinks on both factions, actually! It's a fact that people are coming along just fine! Sure, there are some twinks that don't like some other twinks but even they share the same interests in fighting / flaming / creating drama on the forums, like it should be in every good bracket of course! ^^
But yea, overall I feel that the F2P Community is a very cheery, obliging, and amusing one! They, umm… WE are having so much fun! The PvP itself is extremely challenging & competitive - but it has helped attract some of the most skilled players and help even more players to become better!
So I want to suggest the F2P bracket and community to anyone that wants to enjoy some competitive PvP, knowing there are some bow-wielding issues, and also to people that maybe quit a bracket before (like me) and want to start casually PvP-ing but this time… without having to pay for it - right?!
So why not try it? - Its free! <3
Ok then! competitive PvP alongside roughed up pros in huge daily premades, humor and runts… and bow-wielding issues! I guess you've pointed out both sides to the story here! ;p I just want to keep asking stuff, especially about those <3 filled, caramelized greeting messages you send to everyone all the time - but I doubt anyone wants a two-page article on the front of TI and there are all sorts of people waiting for their own turn as well…! Once again, thank you for your contribution to the game!
