plans after timewalking event ends?

Is TW going to end at some point? I was under the impression it would just keep rotating...
The TW event ends in a few weeks. After that point TW will probably be once a month again? (You can check the in game calendar to see how it's scheduled currently) We also don't know if low levels will lose access to those TWing events afterwards as well, since they dropped the requirement to level 10+ for the anniversary event.

But might be a moot point because the PTR is showing that the TWing items are going to be nerfed (probably retroactively).

Bitter sweet end.

DF had such a massive boom in the 10-11 community's population. Once TWW launched, it almost instantly died off. As soon as TW/Anniversary event launched, the 10-11 population surged right back up again. But yeah, once the TW event will end... the cycle continues. Only a small minority of 10/11s will still play and be active on their twink. The rest will fade into time, and be forgotten.

I love fishing, I've earned almost all the possible fishing achievements on my 10. Its a great place to start if you're done gearing. Diving into achievement hunting is not for the faint of heart though. Its an addiction lol.

World PvE content is fun too. Albeit exploiting the Lunar Festival HP buff, I recently solod the Fel Reaver on my 10 Prot War :p Was fun to do.

I tell this to every new twink that comes around these parts of the internet: there is SO much more to twinking than just spamming Whirlwind in LFG.

outside of timewalking once it ends i assume i can do normal LFG to boost my main alts levels/friends yea?

Then you will need to grind the 12 crit meta gem in blades edge! and then...

that’s definitely on the list, i like the grind, im maxed in old school runescape so a lot of these grinds aren’t as bad as some of those

i need a character at level 50 to do bfa or can i do it on the twink itself?

Yeah man, been farming out some of this triple socket pieces myself, honestly I kind of wanna puke everytime I enter blood furnace nowdays lol.
i do still feel lucky i got the three socket chest, and the 2 socket bis items all in one day though!

keep in mind that speed has a max cap, and gems and enchants can help alot waiting to have ur procs (if u decide to make ur twink on a sub acc ofc)

some of 10s and 11s are using predom socket gear that can be acquired without, only thing they need TW for is trinkets and maybe weapons that do more damage than the lower ilvl weapons with sockets

i think there’s like 2 weeeks with no TW coming up

The normal TW cadence (now) is 1 week in 3 is a TW week. When an expansion launches, TW is typically disabled for the first 4-6 weeks. This is an improvement. It used to be 1 week in 4 back in DF (until it changed) IIRC. Still, it can kinda suck to have to wait months if you want a particular TW to come up. Legion TW is particularly good for trinkets, for example.

We've just had it every week because we had 2 months anniversary back to back with Turbulent Timeways.

Yes but it's segmented by whatever Chromie Time you're in and, depending on the expansion, the queues are either dead to I don't know what. The last time I queued regular dungeons in old content was before the TW minimum level change. TBC/WotLK were popping because the dungeon quests were particularly good extra XP to get you to 30+ quicker so you can switch to TW.

TW has the big advantage of earning badges but also having a huge dungeon end XP bonus, ~50% larger than regular dungeons. Are regular dungeons faster? I suspect on average they're about the same. In DF you'd queue WoD LFG as a twink for Warforged dungeon drops but that's dead now. In DF as a non-twink you could queue WoD dungeons and be almost guaranteed a quick clear because of this however.

Do people still queue older dungeons now that TW is 10+? I have no idea because I don't. When running TBC dungeons for socketed gear, I'll do it myself. Doing it in LFG may be viable?

Just how rare are these? Because I've run a lot of TBC dungeons and I'm not sure I've ever seen one drop.

Depending on your class, there are some slots where AFAICT there are no good socketed options. Warriors have every slot covered except bracers and cloak. TW rings are an option. Mechagon rings are better. But for Mail or Leather armor, a lot of your socketed drops come from dungeons you can't do because of arbitrary level requirements so you're more dependant on TW gear.

When it comes to items getting a socket the odds seem to normalize around 10%. Course you need the item to drop for you as well so in most cases that's going to be around a 10% chance as well. So it's going to be around a 1 in 100 chance of getting what you want, and a 1 in 1000 chance of getting a socket and a secondary.

It also seemed like it was around a 10% chance a WoD item would warforged as well, but when soloing you were guaranteed an item drop; but you would also want sockets to proc on the gear you're shooting for so that also became a 1 in 100 chance of getting what you wanted, and a 1 in 1000 chance of getting a warforged socket and secondary.
