Planning on making an 85 ret

I have a prot pal parked at 70 which I don't play anymore. My main has been ret since cata so I thought it would be easyish to twink a spec I'm very familiar with. I'm still curious though about how Id start my twink and how much the mop blues would cost in general and whatnot. If anyone could give me a little bit of guidance I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

the cost depends on your server really.. some ah research shuld not be too hard. HERE is some gear guidance but the highest ilvl is not necessarily BiS..
alch + bs is the best proff choises and it looks like its gonna be the same for 5.4
mop rares will give you a few bis items but they are not really a problem to take down on any 85 toon,..

I wouldn't really think spending virtual money to enjoy yourself while playing a game is that much of a waste.

i understand, but there are many other brackets/things you can waste gold at
i just dont find 85 worth that much ,atleast EU side
