All my hunter needs now is +2 scope, so I'm starting to think about a new toon. I wanna roll AP horde, and I'm thinking either FC or heals. So what do you (horde AP community) need/want more of? Specify class/specc/role please

hmmm, FC druids are always fun.
Balance Druid is alot of fun as well, but sorta suck if you have a high powered offense, because you dont have enough time to do damage with cast times being really high.
If you're looking to be underpowered but viable, play a mutilate rogue, theyre quite fun and it'll get you used to not relying on shadowstep which rogues will not have come MoP.

Go with something not many play, and get good at it. Hunters are obviously a dime a dozen. And there are a few dozen too many of them around on both ally and horde currently. Try a lock/druid/mage/priest. They don't seem to be played as much as other classes. Disc makes an excellent FC, plus does about as much damage as shadow if you use penance for offensive purposes. Locks are highly effective despite the negative stereotype surrounding them, don't believe me I got screenshots to prove it. Druids are probably the best FCs though for obvious reasons (speed, hurr durr). And mage is just a blast (arcane blast). Probably my favorite class at 20 for the insane burst, polymorph, slows, aoe, blink, etc. Just get used to dying a lot or setting to /follow on a healer, we're so SQUISHY!
If he plans on rolling AP, then half of that is true. We actually have quite a lot of heavily geared mages, 1-2 Geared locks, and quite a few geared druids. We actually even have more resto shamans than priests/holypaladins combined on AP. If he wants to roll a healer, go Priest or Holy Paladin.
This is absolutely true but not for the reasons you may think. In situation where a lock is with other DPS such as Hunters/Paladins(DPS)/Rogues on his/her team, a locks dmg will be hard to notice. However in a situation where the fights are Longer and the enemies have heavy heals; Locks/Boomkins truly shine. A hunter will never be able to out-damage a Boomkin/Lock in a long-scale fight against 6+ ppl. And a knowledgable lock will know when/how to fear specific classes/people. Bizr is a prime example. I've seem em take down hunters 1v1(with CDs, no zerking).
Resto Druids are obviously very good FCs, They can shapeshift out of Slowing Abilities and Rooting Abilities andSwiftmend is one of the strongest instant cast Heals available. Not to mention blizzard gave Druids an armor bonus in bear form(extra survival against melee) and a big stamina boost. a BiS Resto druid(FC) can get more stamina than a BiS Geared prot Paladin(FC). But they(imo) require the most skill to use. They may have great utilties for getting through midfield/etc but as soon as you hit 4+ Flag debuff, it becomes very difficult to outplay a Paladin FC and even a Warrior FC in the same exact situation.
And dont be afraid to play frost. I've seen frost mages from AP keep 5+ ppl off of me across midfield without any sort of pressure(of course with me playing properly) from the other team. Frost Mages make the best support class for FCs when needed to get across midfield; especially a Druid FC. And as Fourtwennay said, dont get bummed out if u die a lot. Ur squishy but mages(especially frost mages) have some of the most amazing utilties available in the F2P bracket.
You're exactly right there, frost mages are great support classes. So that is entirely up to the player. Imo, arcane barrage is too OP to not have at this lvl, unless for premades where your main purpose IS as a support class. Other than that, if you're playing for fun as I do 90% of the time, arcane is the way to go. You'll still die a lot, but you hit much harder than frost, and have some nice talents for damage output.
We've done premades with 1 Resto Shaman, 2 Disc Priests, 1 Holy Paladin, 1 Prot Paladin(FC), Warlock, Boomkin, 2 Hunters, and a Frost Mage. Basically we had the Resto Shaman and 1 of our Priests with the FC while the other 7 went and got the flag. Heavy Heals, 3 Support Classes(one being an offhealer and two of them dot spamming), and 2 Hunters. Those kind of games are mind-blowing fun.
I really appreciate the responses. Right now, I'm thinking I'd like to do a restoFC/boomkinlols druid. Or maybe a disc priest. Still completely open to suggestion tho.

Hmm, horde... Boomkin. They're the best experience you'll ever have as f2p. They are basically pure god-mode! So much fun! (/sigh, looks like horde is gonna get a new fc or priest)
Boomkin is not for most ppl. I would actually suggest you to gear Non-BoA as Feral until you get at least ur GSoJ(if u plan on going druid). Playing boomkin in starter gear is just a mess. Your offheals dont do crap, single-target burst dmg is nothing more than a slap on the wrist for ur enemies, and ur dots dont do crap.
If u wanna go Disc Priest, then i will bow down 2 u. Nothing is more annoying than not having the stam buff from priests in WSG/AB.
