US Pet does not show abilities

Hey guys,

My Carrion Bird only has the 3 basic Attack, Go-To, Follow commands, but now his bloody screech. Same thing with my bear, no bite. I tried putting it on the bars and it would literally disappear. However, in BG's, my bird puts mortal wounds on target, so I know that he is actually using his ability.

No clue what's going on.

Just going to ask the obvious. Have you checked the pet tab under your spellbook?

Sounds odd. From looking at my own hunter, I don't experience the same issue as you do.

Is your hunter recently made, or is it an old character?

Can you think of any addon that would interfere with the display of abilities regarding your pet?

Have you tried dismissing and re-summoning your pet?

Have you tried to abandon your pet completely, and capture a new one of similar sort? (This might be a bitch if you have a rare pet)

You mention carrion bird and bear specifically. Have you tried other pets to see if the problem is universal? (just for good measure)

Your problem does seem odd indeed.

Your going to have to write macros for your pets abilities, I have this same problem.

Write macros for your pet abilities, it's the only sure fire way to make sure they work when you want them to.

Also make sure the abilities aren't on auto-cast. (The portrait in your spell book will have a swirly effect, right click to disable.)
