Sucks that both teams end up losing basically when this happens, lol
One time I was in a Temple of Kotmogu on max level, one of my favorite BGs. Had a super long 10+ min queue, and we were crushing the BG. Was about to be over in like 2 min, which was a bummer because of the queue time. I was trying to tell the BG to slow down and drop the orbs.
But then the strangest thing happened. We hit the max points required to win, but the game didn't end. The points just kept going up! 1600/1500, 1700/1500, 2000/1500!! It just kept climbing! It was hysterical, and my sadness of the "play time to waiting in queue" ratio subsided.
The game didn't end until the max timer of 20 min or whatever hit. We we're just rolling the other team the entire time. Was awesome! Never ever have I seen this happen again.

there used to be premade groups running AB with horde and alliance working together on vent to get “we had it all along”.

I've only ever seen three ties like that, in my entire WoW PvP career, all of which where in Silvershard Mines.
It really does. My first encounter was on an RBG team in Season 12. Both sides ended up whispering each other about what happened, since all 20 players lost rating. interestingly, one of my teammates had seen this before, and brought us up to speed.
