Destro is really only good for the CB, and major downside is hardcasting. For Aff, you need to talent Haunt, or else you will be pulling poor single-target DPS.

yeah I don't really hear anyone knockin destro, it was my AV farm spec for that last 16k to conq- the downside to me is hearing nonstop shadowburn "thwump." But it's extremely doable considering if you're playing your shadowburns and conflags right you're never gonna hardcast or run out of shards.

I DO prefer aff to destro, playstyle wise. But that's probably because of thwump >.>

And yeah destro is a lot of fun for me, surprisingly more fun than my main which is a boomkin, at 29 at least.
I just love seeing Chaos bolt + Shadow burn doing 1/2-3/4 hp and still outdmging afflics + boomy sometimes.

yeah survs can do me pretty well no matter what spec I am. I thought I was going soft until I rolled a surv to test out the spec and realized there was literally nothing any lock could do to stop me as the spec either

Surv will get nerfed for sure though. They're the new ferals.
